SkyBox Labs is a video game development studio based in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada.
Beginning in 2022, SkyBox Labs and The Multiplayer Group have provided developmental assistance on Bethesda Softworks's Fallout 76.
Background[]
SkyBox Labs was founded in 2011 and are best known for their work alongside Xbox Game Studios, including developmental assistance on the Halo franchise, Age of Empires and Minecraft. In January 2023, they were acquired by the Chinese-owned NetEase, Inc.[1]
SkyBox Labs have provided developmental assistance on Fallout 76 since at least August 2022.[2] Although there has, thus far, been no high-profile announcement of their work on Fallout 76 (as there was with Double Eleven and Sperasoft), SkyBox Labs have been credited on Fallout 76 since the Mutation Invasion update.
