Clara Davis was the president of the Appalachia Arts Foundation, headquartered in Lewisburg, who succeeded Glen Atkinson.
Background[]
Like her deceased predecessor, Clara insisted that the foundation continue to hold festivals, even after the Great War. This was in spite of Cyrus Pickens' protests and the necessity of gas masks during these events. The foundation agreed to follow the motto of the town, "Lewisburg Presses On."[1] Even though the town experienced terrible post-nuclear weather, limited interest in providing entertainment and even concerns about the safety of festival wine, Clara and the foundation agreed to keep a positive outlook as the world around them collapsed.[2]
