Background[]
Chris had a nervous, self-defeating attitude where he would berate himself under his breath. He established a safehouse in Berkeley Springs with Matt and was going to deliver him a duffle bag of supplies before being chased and forced to abandon it. The stash was left under the porch of the southwest corner of the white hotel in town. Fearing that things were getting too dangerous in Berkeley Springs, Chris told Matt that he would head back into the mountains alone.[1]
