Bob is a deceased actor for Hubris Comics whose skeletal remains can be found on the street between Hubris Comics and Shenley's Oyster Bar in 2287.
Background[]
Bob was a long jumper in high school,[1] and later came to work at the Hubris Comics building in Boston's Back Bay, as an actor[2] in a fantasy TV series produced there. Like others working at Hubris Comics, Bob became witness to the insufferable antics of method actor Dave. The director of the series had Bob follow Dave, and discovered that Dave spent half of his time at the bar of Shenley's Oyster Bar and the other half in the restroom.[3] Bob also observed that Dave's cryptically unidentifiable lunch one day was still moving.[4] When Dave brought in a real sword to the set, he nearly sliced off Bob's ear by swinging it around, terrifying the crew.[5]
The situation came to a head on October 22, 2077, when Dave climbed to the roof of the building claiming he could fly. As Dave was wearing expensive set property at the time, the director told Bob to try and pursue Dave and secure the props before telling him that he [Dave] was fired.[6] After Dave made a seemingly-impossible jump to the rooftops across the street, Bob attempted to catch him. Despite his history as a long jumper, Bob was not able to match Dave's feat and fell to his death.[1] As the Great War struck the next day, Bob's skeleton can still be found on the pavement two hundred years later in the Commonwealth.
