Do you suppose, when the developers sat down to design Far Harbor, someone said, "It's too easy to see things in the Commonwealth! Let's make it harder!"?

Either that or they opted to try to drive the player mad with those constant... slow... clicks... of ambient radiation. That also brings up the question whether or not one must frequently dose with Rad-X. It's sheer background irritation.
The fog adds a level of eeriness that works really well imo. I don't bother with Rad-X, I just use a RadAway every once in a while.
Most of my rad problem is solved by the fact that I'm almost always in power armor. But yes; it's hella annoying.
The theme for Far Harbor was a mix of detective pulp and classic lovecraft. Hence the design of the island. But imo "more difficult" shouldn't have to be synonymous with bullet sponge.
I'm with Appalachian. I enjoyed the feel of the island and all the fog.
It's particularly hard at younger levels but was really easy for me bcos I went there at level 250.
Good to have a challenge. Fallout 4 on anything except survival mode is too easy.
No i think they just wanted a new world space, 😭
I thought it was a classic "horror" or creepy themed dlc. Sort of how Point Lookout also did that. It takes you away from the chaotic faction wars on the main plot and into this regional isolated(or somewhat isolated) that has somethinf up with it. Now for me I didn't find Far Harbor hard because I am over level 70, wearing X0-1 power armor maxed out on my build with a lot of drugs(home made), with my splattercannon and my usual. So maybe I am one of those "maxers" who does a lot and as a result over powers themselves.
Granted I kinda wish the Far Harbor was more eerie and less on the three factions of CoA, Arcadia(I think I spelled that right) and Far Harbor. But then again, I am a Metro player and having the dark claustrophobic tunnels is what I vibe with.
I wasn't commenting on the difficulty of the DLC, so much as how freaking hard it is to see anything in the fog.
What do you think?
