It looks a bit like Levaunt's new gui. Perhaps getting too inspired is the problem? Did you have a plan for the gui beforehand? I like the eldpack-ish borders nontheless.
Nope, I had no idea at all except that I wanted wood for crafting table, chests, etc. and stone for the furnace, dispenser, etc... Maybe mixing in metal is a bad idea...
I did take inspiration from levaunt though, mostly the individual boxes where the items are. I think I might actually just scrap the whole thing and start fresh, I really need a good idea though, getting the basic design down is the hardest bit, changing it for each different inventory is the easy bit...
There are so many styles of gui out there now as well that it makes it hard to feel like I'm not copying someone too....
It does look rather good though. It's certainly not bad anyway.
A suggestion; Perhaps you could go with a sort of leafy tone on the gui. It could be wood with leaves & vines for decoration. Just be careful in not overdoing it. It'd be original anyway, but it's your pack. Just think of what would suit the overall pack, and i'm sure you'll end up doing something neat.
Yea, I don't think it looks bad, just boring and unoriginal...
That leafy idea has given me a lot of ideas though, I think I might start with a sort of worn down, ruined looking ui, something that would look like it's been left behind from a past civilization... It gave me some other ideas too but I will check how the first idea works out first! (I don't want something that looks too old though, just.... Used, I guess...)
Thanks for the idea though, that's just what I was looking for!
Weapons look stolen from Jolicraft or some other recognizable texture pack
I find it kind of insulting that you don't even know what pack they would be stolen from. Everything that has been textured in my pack is 100% my own work. I have taken preview pictures of the tools as I was creating them and I know many people have seen them as well. Look all you want, but any pack that has these tools or weapons has stolen them from me.
Guys, I really need some ideas for the gui, I just can't get it right!
Here's the current version of it, I just want something that will make it stand out because I don't know what it is, but there's something about it I really don't like atm...
In my opinion the border looks a bit to industrial, almost like it's made of pipes. Maybe slim it down a bit, or change the style.
If you give me permission I'd love to try out some stuff with it, and post it here so you can get some feedback.
Thanks, really, thanks for making this. I've been searching for a pack like this for a while, and this is just what I needed. It fits my preferences perfectly! 's to you, good sir.

Wow! I see, that you've used some textures from yor old tp Nagareru. I loved it but Pixel perfection is more awesome.
Hmmmm, I don't remember using textures from that pack.... Maybe I did but I just improved them... I dunno, could've sworn I didn't take any from that pack though. (mostly cos I don't know where all my files went for it :P)
Glad you like the pack though!
Also guys, I made another CTM feature: Unique birch leaves! They only work with MCPatcher I'm pretty sure but they do add some nice variety to the forests!
I also made new piston and redstone repeater textures because I was stuffing around with redstone on my world and I found them to be old and ugly. So yea, they also have a fresh coat of paint!
I don't think Optifine does skyboxes though, only some CTM, custom colors ect. And MC patcher isn't compatible with Optifine as far as I know. I kinda need Optifine to run Minecraft I use a laptop. Oh well. Still gonna use this.

Haha, it's getting there!
Also yea, that's one unfortunate thing about using optifine, no custom skies! The many graphics options and stuff are really awesome though and at least 95% of the other CTM stuff still works too. While I did put a lot of effort into the skies, I've got a tonne of other random CTM stuff so that kinda makes up for the lack of it.
I also finished the new explosion graphic, it looks glorious. Here's a pic I managed to snap mid explosion:
Absolutely love that explosion! And judging by that, you really should animate some more, though I know you find it frustrating. Water and lava are what nearly put me off animating anything forever, but animating other stuff can be real fun.
I'm loving all the cool CTM ideas you're having too...puts me to shame.
This is by far the best x16 texture pack that I've seen ever.
I have only one gripe though. Everything looks so pretty but the item bar at the bottom of the screen looks like it's come straight out of Windows 95. It could really do with being made to look fancy like the rest of the pack. Keep up the good work!
Heh, nothing wrong with '95, it was awesome! (back in the day... :P)
Don't worry, I see what you mean though, I plan on redoing it when I make the rest of my gui. I just need to be inspired to do so!

Everything is coming along excellently! Bravo!!
Well to be fair, many of these ideas for CTM were suggested in the TAU thread over in texture discussion, I was kinda running out of ideas but they certainly didn't!
I will have a look into animating normal stuff as well, I suppose that it would be very good practice!
I'll make the diamond and emerald sparkle and the redstone pulse with red light for a start I think. After that I might try making a fire animation and then making a smaller one for torches like in JohnSmith.

Praise be to Spode.
Thanks! You could always mix them together for personal use if you really wanted, that way you could have the best of both worlds!

Yea, I've completely changed the style. I'll post a preview of the new one when I complete a bit more of it!
No worries, glad you like it!

Unfilled
Filled
Awesome! Now if only you could animate the texture, so that when there's a record in it, you'd see it spinning on top
Thanks!
I would but I seriously hate animating stuff... Making my water and lava was bad enough

P.S. add the armor already.
FHAST FHOD FOHR DEH EMPRAH!

I'll see what I can do with 16x res sparkles!
