Hmm wonder how the villager, witch, zombie pigmen, and ghasts will look like when u finish hope u give the gahst an eerie look and the zombie pigmen a bloody beaten up look.
Well villagers are going to look like little stone golem guys, some with metal replacement limbs, ghasts will look pretty eerie (gonna be covered in plates of black iron armour) and zombie pigmen.... Well, they won't be bloody and beaten up but I have an idea for them that's pretty neat!
Dude. I just made an account on this site just so I could tell you how great this pack looks. You packed a ton of detail and character into a 16x. I love the different wood textures, the gold spartan armor, all of it just looks amazing. Pixel Perfection is a great name for it. Srsly is bretty gud :DD
Full changelog is in the OP but it includes some custom sounds, new and improved items/textures, new map texture, some new gui stuff, new particles and 4 new mobs (cats, ocelots, slimes and silverfish). Enjoy!
EDIT: Really late edit, but if anybody is using the pack for a bit, can you possibly drop by later with some feedback about the sounds? I'd really like to know what people think of them and whether I should keep them in the main download or make it an addon type thing.
I would be biased about the sounds...soooooo... XD
But ya this is an awesome update! Pack keeps getting better and better~
Hehe, yea, thanks for all the help with the sounds (I did change them a little bit though, hope you don't mind! Just general tweaks like making doors sound a bit more generic instead of a definite open and close, etc.)
I'm gonna look around and find a nice fire sound now methinks, or maybe lightning sounds to suit the rain. Hmmm...
I love the new door textures and rain sounds! Keep up the good work!
Thanks, glad you're liking them! Think I might just keep the sounds in the pack. I'm not planning on replacing everything unless I know I can do a better job/it suits the pack to have them changed like with mobs (since I have different mobs like voidwalkers instead of endermen and stone villagers, etc.).
Sorry, missed your release yesterday. :/
Tested it out now. I love the rain sound! The lava, water & door sounds are also pretty nice.
Thanks poersch!
I'm really enjoying the rain sound too. Spent a fair while tweaking it to make it nice and relaxing. So much better than the annoying static noise of default rain!
Anywho, for anyone who's wondering, I'm working on new stuff for the better grass and leaves mod, working on the book texture (the one that's showed when you use one of those books you can write in), sandstone/netherbrick CTM, new workbench/tweaked chest and finally; villagers.
I don't want this update to take a long time before release so I'll release it as soon as I finish villagers and iron golems.
Great progress. And YES, the rain sound is great! I can actually enjoy the weather now (to some extent at least). Did you create it yourself?
No, I just edited sound files till I got it how I wanted. There are good resources for them all over the net so it's actually not too hard to find a rain sound then shorten it and edit it till it's the right length and fits with minecraft, etc.
I will be making some of the sounds entirely from scratch though. Probably the mobs that I've changed (endermen and villagers for sure) and possible for other things like block placing and whatnot if I ever get around to them!
I am really liking where this pack is going, the new sounds are really nice! I changed the language file slightly from what I had before but I'm not sure if you are interested in adding it again.

Heyo wulfre!
I'll take a look at the files for sure. I've kept most of your changes although I have changed a few things, mostly options (stuff like openGL which is actually a thing so people don't get confused)
But yea, I've loved most of your changes so far so I would love to see what else you've done!

That's one fine texture pack, sir!
The ONLY thing I would change are plank textures. I'm not saying that they are bad. Those textures are fine. I just would like to see an alternative version for plank textures.
Don't say that you LOVED them, they are almost nothing compared to the art of the pack. But, here is the file. I can't remember much off the top of my head, but it was all item changes. https://dl.dropboxus...raft/en_US.lang
And since you mentioned you changed some things, I made a public document so that you or anyone else can change things around so that everyone is satisfied with it. https://docs.google....ORoItCo8QQ/edit

Do you think the planks are too uneven and rough? (that's the complaint I think most people have about them if they have a complaint)
Good news is that with the new resource pack selection thing (how you can have more than one resource pack selected at once), I'll be able to have a small download with alternate woods that you can load at the same time as the normal pack and just overwrite the old planks with the new alternate ones. Super easy!
I do plan on adding some CTM so that oak planks and spruce planks have borders right at the very end of a row of them and the jungle planks will get something similar except it would be at the top and bottom of a column of them (since they're vertical). I might give the jungle planks some rope as well, who knows.
For the moment though I guess you're just gonna have to use more birch planks since they're the only ones with a border.
Oh, I wasn't talking about those borders. I meant the random plank borders scattered around the texture, you know, the brick-like pattern.
I love the iron sword texture and you got the best chainmail texture ever. The only thing I would love to see is the alternative version for leather armor. Fur armor, just like in SMP's Revival texture pack:

Ohhhhh ok, I see what you mean... There are actually faint borders on most of the planks though. I kept them faint because the planks are thicker than usual 16x16 planks so when I had borders to divide the planks they ended up looking quite square and brick-like (too brick-like for wood) and generally very ugly in builds. I will most likely make alt textures for when a 1.7 snapshot comes out and I can test the new resource pack selection system.
Great idea with the leather armour too! I think my leather armour is quite boring at the moment and having a bearskin cloak or something would be really sweet. I'll add it to my list of things to do so it should hopefully be in the next update (probably as the default leather armour, the old one will be an alt).

Thanks man, means a lot for you to do that!
Srsly thnx!
Oh, I'm sorting out the next update now btw.

Yea sure! Post the video here once you're done as well and I'll probably put it in the OP so more people can see it.
Thanks poersch!

Sounds like some mod I know...
