I started to play Minecraft in February 2020. Initially I played on latest versions. After I discovered that Minecraft Launcher allows backporting, I started to play in Forge 1.6.4. I created a modpack for my personal use and I played in that modpack for months. After that, I updated to 1.12.2 because I lacked some very good mods in 1.6.4.

I started Minecraft modding in with MCP two months ago. I usually mod in 1.12.2, but I can't mod in Forge, Fabric etc. yet. I did things such as restoring numerical ids for /give command and registering technical block items. I also tried to remove fake chunks and replacing with real chunks in 1.6.4, and I succeeded.

I find the claim "1.x.x version is outdated and unsupported due its age" annoying. Because newer versions just continuation of older versions. Newer versions are not new games. And the claim "1.x.x (b1.x.x and a1.x.x) version is outdated and unsupported due its age" has become outdated after RetroMCP has released, which is a modified version of MCP that works in versions prior 1.3.1.
