Shouldn't those portals be 6 blocks high rather than 23? AFAIK Zombie Pigmen only spawn with their feet inside portal block while having a solid block (obsidian frame) right under them or one block away down, so 2 blocks for feet, 1 block for body, 1 block headroom and 2 blocks of obsidian.
Isn't it better to have many small portals than few large portals since the pigmen only spawn on the BOTTOM block of a portal. OK so let's say that you want a 30x20 spawning platform. You should build a 30 block long portal that is only 2 blocks high. You then continue this pattern until you get the size you want. This is more effective as is adds more spawn blocks than just a large net-like-structure, and also gives more spawn platforms than a 30x20 portal would. -This comment was provided by Xzotius 67.142.114.34 20:23, 29 May 2016 (UTC)

Different farms[]
You can make a fully automatic farm that includes exp, and rare drops by putting tamed wolves in the bottom of the chamber. You build a hole that lets your wolves reach the zombie pigman but doesn't let the zombie pigmen attack.

Problems[]
1, a video is shown twice, once with the yt template, and, (before the last few edits), after it, using the collapsedvideo template, then someone added a video without a template saying above it "a video for the same farm shown above, but in more detail." Should we remove both videos and use the new one, or remove the new one and either the yt or collapsedvideo template video (which both are the same)? --Gameking1happy (talk) 21:24, 25 February 2021 (UTC)
