While it might not be that concealed, there's another kind of lava-door which works both ways, so you can actually leave your house/secret room again. ;)

The video currently linked as example for a secret lava door is actually pretty bad. Among other things a player can actually see the other side of the door through the gap over the lava source block. Try to place the lava at least at the same level as the upper frame block of the door (which you should add). That's way better to conceal such kind of secret passages then putting signs around it, which just draw extra attention to the spot. --Yatsufusa 17:54, 9 August 2011 (UTC)

or u could use the lava wall one way hidden door, have a wall of lava then put a minecart behind it. just click 2 get in, then teleport through the lava and into the cart! simple! i didnt make it, i found it on the custom map arkieda temple
A good combination is a piston door with a nether gate where the pistons open up. Most people (if they find your home) will go straight for the portal. I tend to place a lava bucket on the linked nether gate so when they port they die.
