Raid Farms[]

Should I add a section on raid farms? They are, in my opinion, possibly the best afk farm to have and are honestly not mentioned enough given how overpowered they are. Thearkytect (talk) 20:56, 22 June 2020 (UTC)

Making a mob farm on land[]

If one in java makes a mob farm in land with a bunch of caves around it not completely lit up, but goes 100 or so block up and afks. Will the farm still work? As the spawn radius is 128 x 128 of a farm is 25 blocks up and you afk 100 blocks up the farm will that leave 4 blocks underground? Since there’s limited spawning space will you need to light up caves?

If the caves are beyond the spawn radius, and the farm is inside the spawn radius, it should still work.

Farms are often built high in the air because it is so troublesome to locate all the caves and light them up (you don't know if you found them all unless you cheat with mapping software). If you're going to build an AFK platform high in the air anyway, you may as well put your farm there too. Amatulic (talk) 19:03, 2 September 2021 (UTC)
