Be aware that mklink /D will create a directory symbolic link, which only works on Vista and XP with the specific Server 2003 additions. However, mklink /J (and the Junction option in Link Shell Extension) creates junctions (which for me appear to work better in every way except the fact that ADWCleaner detects them as suspect). Junctions are not visible as actual junctions without Link Shell Extension, unlike symbolic links which appear like that, but also junctions may not be deleted correctly (i.e. without deleting the corresponding folder).
I suggest being consistent with that, on the Windows side.
