Ever since they largely nerfed slime spawning, this article has become largely obsolete. What do you guys think?–Preceding unsigned comment was added by 139.190.10.113 (Talk|Contribs) . Please sign your posts with ~~~~

Leave it as an archive, and add outdated flag. Extreme 23:51, 12 February 2013 (UTC)
I added a new 1.8 version of a slime "killer." Hope you enjoy! --WickedXxxxlego (talk) 03:28, 26 November 2014 (UTC)
There is another way. Do /kill @e would do, but you would need to do it a few times, and it kills all entities, including you.61.147.72.21 04:43, 18 December 2015 (UTC)

This tutorial isn't very outdated[]

Why is this article considered "outdated"? I'm not sure about past versions, but in 1.8.4, Slimes spawn in large numbers in Superflat worlds... In fact, in just a few minutes of play (after switching from Peaceful to Hard), I found several groups of them... One of the groups even consisted of twelve Slimes (during the day)... Maybe in past versions they weren't common in Superflat, but they are in 1.8.4+. –Preceding unsigned comment was added by 50.181.179.170 (talk) at 23:45, 16 May 2015 (UTC). While they still do still spawn frequently and the method may work, slimes no longer spawn quite as frequently to require such extreme methods. Other than that, the only other reason it would be outdated is there is no longer quite as much of a requirement, so people would be less likely to update it. KnightMiner t/c 23:56, 16 May 2015 (UTC)
I agree that this tutorial is still useful, as slimes still spawn in annoying numbers on superflat worlds, but it is outdated in the fact that slimes can swim now. –Preceding unsigned comment was added by Uberken (talkcontribs) at 13:52, 12 October 2016 (UTC). Please sign your posts with ~~~~
Literally none of the tutorials even mention water...

Outdated? What version?[]

If a method is considered Outdated, then at least tell me the version in which it became outdated and the version in which it started to become usable.

Outdated?! What the...[]

The Tutorials page states that "slimes are no longer a plague." But slimes still spawn often in superflat worlds,‌[Java Edition only] so I don't think this tutorial is actually outdated. I think this tutorial would be useful to those who are getting annoyed by slimes in superflat worlds. What do you guys think? :) --ETF12 (talk) 19:04, 3 March 2022 (UTC)
