In a music disc farm, it's much easier to use a falling sand entity on top of a fence/wall than an ender crystal. 24.61.67.253 19:55, 2 April 2017 (UTC)

True, but I have noticed problems with falling sand entities in unloaded chunks preventing the arrows from despawning and causing lag. Maybe it's because I did it wrong...
Also, the ender crystal hitbox covers more space, therefore allowing for many skeletons shooting at what is effectively a large shield.

Making Indestructible End Crystals Destructible??[]

I do believe that you can make Indestructible End Crystals destructible by putting them on top of an obsidian pillar and respawning the Ender Dragon, at least on Java Edition, and I have tested this. This should be checked in case I am wrong, though.
