Misleading Information?[]
Unless I'm mistaken, eggs left alone don't hatch themselves, chickens don't need solid ground to lay eggs (otherwise this design wouldn't work), and mobs float, so they can't be flushed down the chute. Qcdynamics 16:03, 17 September 2011 (UTC)

If in SMP with LWC plugin, one can use the Magnet flag in an enclosed space for a zero egg loss system that auto-deposits the eggs in a private OR public chest 184.90.242.23 03:25, 26 June 2012 (UTC)
