Needed a Minecraft context[]

I created this article because we have several articles linking to Wikipedia for this term, and I wanted to describe it in the context of how Minecraft uses it. Amatulic (talk) 23:20, 15 October 2021 (UTC)

Minecraft Themed Image[]

I updated the image on this page just so someone could more quickly undertsand how it is calculated and used in terms of minecraft. JathOsh (talk) 13 December 2021 (UTC)

Yes, I saw that, it's a nice image, but it doesn't have relevance to the general description of the concept, which is the first half of the article and not specific to Minecraft. I put your image into the Minecraft-specific part. Amatulic (talk) 00:56, 15 December 2021 (UTC)

Why I recommend deleting it[]

It's because it's off topic and too of-scope. It should be in Wikipedia rather than here, in the Minecraft wiki. Please delete it. --98.51.12.131 19:52, 1 April 2022 (UTC)

No; this is a valid page with information about usage of taxicab distance in Minecraft. BDJP (t|c) 19:55, 1 April 2022 (UTC)
Page tagged for deletion (for the second time). --Logomansbutcher1138 (talk) 00:53, 2 April 2022 (UTC)
Now, you're just being disruptive. "I don't like it" isn't a reason to delete. Referring to the actual math used in Minecraft as "nonsense" in your deletion tag suggests you aren't acting in good faith. The context is about Minecraft, not the topic in general, as can be plainly seen by actually reading the article. Amatulic (talk) 06:42, 14 April 2022 (UTC)
@Amatulic: I am not disruptive, I just requested to delete the page, only because it's off topic, and this content should be moved on towards the Wikipedia aritcle. Also, I apologize, but, do not remove the next deletion tag on the page I just put in. Thanks, Logomansbutcher1138 (talk) 22:01, 18 April 2022 (UTC)
You are being disruptive. Your request to delete the page has no basis. There is already an article on the general subject on Wikipedia. This article is about the subject in the context of Minecraft, which is evident in every section. The Minecraft content has no place on Wikipedia. Do not place a deletion tag again without actually proposing a valid rationale, which you have not done yet. Amatulic (talk) 22:23, 18 April 2022 (UTC)

Uniform norm also sometimes used?[]

In addition to some things using taxicab distance and others (like conduits) euclidean, there are some like shulker teleportation range, beacon range, spawner range on Java edition, etc. that seem to use the uniform norm: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uniform_norm

Maybe things using it could be also be listed here since the other 2 are already mentioned? CrCl3 (talk) 01:14, 30 July 2022 (UTC)
