different names[]
- In the Inventory, the item is named "Minecart with Chest".
Any confirmation this is true? And if it's true, shouldn't we change the page name? --Yurisho 19:40, 12 May 2011 (UTC)

Contradiction[]
"The lava will instantly destroy the tracks, minecart, and its contents, leaving the minecart unharmed but the tracks destroyed." If the minecart is instantly destroyed, how is it unharmed? 75.118.51.238 00:46, 3 December 2012 (UTC)

- The original version of that text was much clearer: it was two sentences, the second part referring to what happens if water is poured on the tracks. Fixed. -- Orthotope 09:36, 7 December 2012 (UTC)

Update[]
To me it seems like since the Redstone Update, the Minecart with Chest travels as far as an occupied minecart, which allows you to use tracks which were built for traveling. 80.219.11.128 14:57, 9 March 2013 (UTC)

- I just had a fully loaded Minecart with Chest that wouldn't make it more than halfway up a slope that I've been sending it up repeatedly with no problems. When I removed about 8 stacks and tried again, it went all the way up just fine. It appears that contents DO have an effect on the physics. --Chris 24.127.237.164 02:39, 15 April 2013 (UTC)
Bedrock Edition render[]
So, it turns out in Bedrock Edition the chests actually face sideways compared to Java Edition and Legacy Console Edition. Just thought I'd point this out, for accuracy in § History and whatnot. -FezEmerald

Drops minecart and chest separately[]
I tried to break a minecart with chest and the minecart and chest dropped separately. Is this really true and should drops changed to minecart, and chest separately? MinecraftNoobCity (talk) 09:59, 6 March 2023 (UTC)
- You are more than likely playing an older version, as this was changed in 1.19 to having it drop the item and the contents of the item. BDJP (t|c) 10:51, 6 March 2023 (UTC)
