Easiest to get?[]
This page mentions more than once that leather makes for the easiest armor to make early-game, but I do not believe this is true. To make even a pair of boots, the player will need four leather, which means four cows on average. Many starting locations will not have cows, and it is very rare to have six or more cows available at the start. (assuming they aren't going to kill all of them and thus make breeding impossible or impractical later) If the player is to to do early breeding for the cows, they are going to need seeds, water, a safe location, and lots of time.
