Merge request[]

- Personaly, I Oppose the merge mainly becuase despite it having little info, they are too different. It's like merging Stone with Smooth Stone, their only similarities are name and (thats kinda it). For the Glow Ink Sac, the only similarity is name... and... More examples are Golden Apple and Enchanted Golden Apple as well.Humiebee (talk) 00:57, 22 January 2021 (UTC)

- Opposing this merge for consistency with other cases, like Golden Apple and Enchanted Golden Apple having been split from a merge, this page, in my opinion, does not have very little info and has enough differences from ink sacs to be notable enough to warrant its own page. Are 1-3 glow ink sacs dropped (no looting) or 1-4?[]

- After talking with Unavailablehoax (talk • contribs • logs) in discord, the loot table clearly says 1-3 and unable to actually reproduce an instance of a glow squid dropping 4. Blockofnetherite Talk Contributions 18:57, 22 January 2021 (UTC)
This page currently says 1-4 (as of the time writing) as a user said that they killed a glow squid with their fists and it dropped 4 ink sacs. I went to the Glow Squid article and changed it from 1-3 to 1-4, but Unavailablehoax reverted it. Do they drop 1-3 ink sacs or 1-4 ink sacs? Have not tested it yet. When I am able to, I will check many times if glow squids can actually drop 4 ink sacs. Blockofnetherite Talk Contributions 18:39, 22 January 2021 (UTC)
- Tested in-game and no time I ever got 4, the person who put 4 most likely had another in their inventory. The loot table also doesn't have 1-4, it has 1-3. – Unavailablehoax (talk) 18:53, 22 January 2021 (UTC)

Bedrock item name changed[]
The equivalent name for the Java glow_ink_sac in Bedrock is currently dye_powder_glow as per developer release 1.17.0.54_rc2
