Hopper behavior in 22w46a[]
User:Anterdc99: Please explain the behavior shown in this video in terms of the text you reverted to: https://www.reddit.com/user/anomiex/comments/yyq88o/minecraft_bookshelfhopper_behavior_in_22w46a/. The redstone signal does not appear to be remaining unchanged. Anomie x (talk) 18:07, 18 November 2022 (UTC)
- Obviously your video shows this side effect (rapidly changed to the second state). I also made a video for this, see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZUe2VVeZoOM
- So, in the previous statement you made, since it don't have any extra requirement, I will understand this sentence like this: ANY failed interaction caused by a full hopper will change the signal strength to reflect the last non-empty slot. In your video, it does, because books remaining in the bookshelf is different with the books in the hopper. But, in my video, it doesn't, because books in the two places are the same, they are both normal books. Since there's the same result to removing a different book or a same book: the book in that specific slot is not pulled, they can both considered as "failed", which the word you used in your statement. So, in my view, your statement is conflicted with my video, at least, it can not cover every situations.
- My thought on this side effect: it's very illogical. Although there still have nobody report that (at least) to Mojang now, it possibily a bug. Per the requirement of this Wiki: a bug shouldn't be described as a feature, unless it appears in one stable release at least. So it's more suitable to avoid that. -- Anterdc99(T·C) 19:52, 18 November 2022 (UTC)
