Make lists of ambient sounds collapsed by default[]

Seriously, this page lags the absolute hell out of safari. - User-12316399 (talk) 00:06, 16 March 2020 (UTC)

Agree but why is there template about splitting the page into 3 for that I strongly disagree. Klusimo (talk) 11:30, 19 March 2020 (UTC)

Test and add new mood algorithm for cave ambience[]

Hello, in java 1.16 snapshot 20w12a, new mood algorithm was added for cave sounds to make them play at better times. As I know, it works as this:

  • Mood algorithm is % number (0-100%) that increases when player is underground and/or in low light level.(?)
  • When it hits 100%, cave ambience plays.

Thats all info. Please someone test how it really works, i mean that first part, how depth and light affect it and then add it as upcoming part to the cave ambience. Thank you. Klusimo (talk) 09:14, 26 March 2020 (UTC)

Bedrock edition??[]

I have never ever heard cave sounds in BE so say it's exclusive to Java. I just heard a nether ambience in BE (NOT THE UPCOMING!!) so please test it. Signature: 188.120.87.87 07:51, 26 April 2020 (UTC)

Cave ambience is being added in 1.16.0, which is why you haven't heard it. I don't know if there is currently Nether music, but there definitely is in 1.16.0. The BlobsPaper 19:16, 26 April 2020 (UTC)
Is there a way to turn it off in 1.16.0 if you can play it please tell me... (sorry about double-edit) 188.120.87.87 15:29, 30 April 2020 (UTC)
You can now change volume for separate categories in Bedrock, including Ambience sounds. TheLegendaryOrb (talk) 00:26, 17 May 2021 (UTC)

Fixed; someone made a test edit that broke the file link. –Sonicwave talk 01:18, 27 November 2020 (UTC)

Spectrogram trivia[]

I've been going through the articles on this wiki cleaning up trivia sections, mostly removing speculation, editorializing, subjective opinions, and dubious claims. Then I got to this page. I have to say, the trivia item "When "Cave 14" is viewed in a spectrogram, it appears to show the face of a creeper" and accompanying image has to be the coolest trivia I have ever seen on this wiki. Cave sounds can play in the end dimension because MC-189847[]

I think the overworld cave sounds could be played in the end (MC-189847) because the mood system isn't programmed properly for the End. How about this? 49.228.179.158 06:47, 20 July 2021 (UTC)
