A silverfish is a small hostile arthropod that can be found within the Echoing Void DLC of Minecraft Dungeons.

Appearance[]

Silverfish are small silvery bug-like mobs, possessing fuzzy thorns on their back and having segmented bodies. They have black eyes and a black tail tip.

Silverfish quickly scuttle toward a target to bite them, inflicting a small amount of damage, similarly to how they behave within the original game.

September 29, 2018Silverfish are first seen within the Minecraft Dungeons Announcement trailer.
1.1.1.0Added a walking animation for silverfish. However, no model, texture, or any other asset for silverfish currently exists at this point.
November 17, 2020Silverfish are seen again within the Minecraft Dungeons Cross-Platfrom Play Trailer.
July 14, 2021Silverfish are revealed along with several other mobs to be present within the The Stronghold of the Echoing Void DLC.
July 15, 2021Silverfish are revealed specifically within a Twitter video to be able to rain down upon heroes.[1]

Trivia[]

  • Before the Echoing Void DLC, silverfish were previously unused mobs. They had made appearances within a few trailers such as the Cross-Platform Play trailer. They also had an animation file in the code before being officially added.
