I´ve using this service for almost a year and I´ve never experienced any downtime, poor speed or any other problem. I have used the service with 1 and 10 Gbits connections and I was getting a speed always around 400-500 MB (limited by the hard drives with the 10GB lines) and 100-120 MB (limited by 1 GB lines).
I can also say the peering is incredible, during this year, I have downloaded from a dedicated server in Finland (10GB), from a server in Germany (another 10 GB), sometimes from home (domestic 1GBit line in Spain) and now with a dedictaed server in Netherlands (1GBit)
Every single time and from any location, the speed was the maximum speed I could get with the computer/connection I was using.

Worst ever. I've had it 1 day and regret already. They charge you annually but say it's monthly. There is no refund. The service doesn't work properly either almost nothing downloads due to missing news, I wish I could cancel and go back to Eweka. What it does download is fast, that's about the only thing going for it.

Configure once and forget about it. Stable, reliable, but documentation could always be better. In my case connecting to the NL is way better than the standard modus. But you have to find that information first.

I have gigabit connection, and most of the time I average about 60~70 MB/sec. Very rarely do I see 100, but somtimes it drops as low as 40. Regarding completion, occasionally I am unable to complete a download, but that is rare.

Great support, using their newsreader app works really well and quickly. Highly recommended! There were times that the server was unavailable but an email to support had this working again within an hour but this only happened once over the period of two years.

I have been using Newshosting since 2005 and have extremely happy with the service.

I have been blown away with the exceptional retention rate, and as my internet speeds have evolved and gotten faster over the years Newshosting has always been able to feed me my data at those newer speed.

Their news reader also has been great, and the fact they support multiple os's has been great.

What else can I say other than they have been top notch and reliable.

Very good performance, fast reaction to tickets - only needed so far for activating posting access, was answered within 13 (thirteen!) minutes.

Another feature is their own news client which is very good for searching when other means fail - adds value most people don't even know about!

The 'Newshosting' site is always reliable, fast, and I can't recall a time when it ever went down. It retains posts for a very long time, and I have never received any virus's or malware of any kind. My only constructive issue is with many of the posters that feel it necessary to add a suffix-(numeral), and/or a suffix-(personal moniker), to the end of each song title. This leave me/us to have to delete each one manually, which is a huge PITA. But as far as 'Newshosting' itself, it's fantastic, and I would be devastated if it ever went away!! Keep up the great work!!

I've been a subscriber for many years and they really deliver. Their newsreader app makes downloading from them dead simple, everything is taken care of for you behind the scenes, you don't have to worry about the technicalities they take care of it for you. Everything is well organized, including snapshot pictures of video files. Worth every cent.

I don't have much experience with other providers but that is because Newshosting has been working great and managed to serve me everything I ever wanted so far. I am very happy with their services and as long as they keep it up, I will continue to use them.

The basic - usenet access and retention is in place - good speed and most usenetgroups are available. But the newshosting app ( usenetbrowser) is outdated and support is not very efficient - "Its always you who has done something wrong". even the last 10 times i have contacted them showed that they had a system failure. But anyway has used newshosting for around 15 years

Top notch usenet service; solid uptime, speed, retention. It literally just works.

I accidentally paid twice for a year of subscription, and they had it resolved within hours of my email, so customer service is top notch too.

The addition of PrivadoVPN is great although their app feels slightly wonky - but the VPN service is solid and speeds are as expected.

Will absolutely recommend for both usenet alone and the bundle with VPN

Very fast and reliable service - I cannot remember it being down since I first signed up in 2007, and for new stuff I download around 80-90MB/sec over 1Gbit cable modem, as close to wire speed as anything ever is.

Their Windows client is kind of terrible, it doesn't do any kind of precise searching and you can't really sort, but I run Sonaar with an outside NZB indexer I donate to so I can't remember when last I used their client to search. Also, I think I'm paying extra for the VPN service which worked fine the couple of times I used it but is something I never remember I have.

Not sure what they report their retention age to be, I tend to be fine downloading stuff >1500 days old (4 years) but more than that you've got too many missing articles. I have not scientifically analyzed this, I just looked at my recent history downloading earlier full seasons of Strike Back :)

Good service, I never feel bad renewing it every two or whatever years. Highly recommend.
