The quality of your backup plugin is a question of security.
not only you need to have a scheduled regular backup, that backup should be 100% reliable as well.

I have tested several backup plugins in my 15+ years of experience and only found Updraftplus never disappoint.

I have been using UpdraftPlus for a very long time. I started with the free version - which is perfectly adequate for almost everything - and switched to the paid version 2 years ago. This was also because of one or two functions, but mainly as support for the developers.
I can't say enough good things about UpdraftPlus. This plugin has been a lifesaver for me. It's incredibly easy to use, and the features it offers are top-notch. With UpdraftPlus, I can effortlessly back up my WordPress website and restore it in just a few clicks. It has saved me from potential disasters several times. The scheduling options are great for automatic backups, and the ability to store backups in various cloud services is a huge plus.

The customer support is also fantastic; they've been quick to respond and help with any questions I've had.

Overall, I highly recommend UpdraftPlus to anyone managing a WordPress site. It's reliable, user-friendly, and has given me peace of mind knowing my website is backed up and secure.

The premium support helped me figure out what I needed to do to execute a complicated migration of a very complicated web site and database. I ended up having to set up a server with an older version of PHP, which was a nightmare, but after I did that (like they told me to), the site restored beautifully! It was an absolutely flawless restore, and I didn’t expect it would be, but all the vital elements came through. When I did a string search, there was absolutely no trace of the old domain. Everything rewrote to the new one, and I mean EVERYTHING! That blew me away!

The automated backups I have are set to write to my Google Drive, and that service has saved me numerous times! I love being able to name the backups, and I also love being able to set up separate backup service on my staging site. This software will save you a lot of time and trouble!

I love UpdraftPlus!

I have a very large site since I registered my domain back in 2005 and I really need to know that my data is secure. Among other things, because I've spent 20 years doing genealogy research.

I have a subdomain that I very regularly update with new data from the main domain.

I have been using UpdraftPlus for many years and usually the migration runs smoothly. But suddenly it didn't work and there was no way I could figure out the problem myself.

I created a support ticket and I have received the most amazing help I have ever had. They simply didn't give up until I reached the finish line. I have received many fine, patient and detailed explanations, so I now have a much better understanding of how the software actually works.

It's hard to believe that you can get so much for so little money. I highly recommend UpdraftPlus.

I love this widget and the PRO. I am an accountant, so for me building my website was a task to learn, and figuring out how to navigate cPanel was not an option to spend my time on. So I came across UpdraftPlus and I love it. I can save my website, as many times as I want. And the best part, I can restore it effortlessly.

I was having an issue with a failed migration and submitted a support ticket with the recent backup logs. Updraft responded with potential reasons for the issue and provided 2 alternate methods for handling the migration. The first one worked perfectly. I run approximately 30 sites using Updraft as a core element of my website security service and it has always performed well.

Poor support. As an online marketer the stress from running a website is real and can be quite high. On several occasions I've felt blown off my Updraft email support employees. They either point me in a direction away from them as the source of my issues or respond in high tech talk that feels insensitive to non tech savvy individuals. Either way, it hasn't been worth the automatic charge to my credit card. My site has been suffering some speed reduction due to outside sources. Upon investigation I found that the Updraft plugin is one of the culprits. Creating a backup was also taking too long, especially since my website is not that large. When I contacted them - in the most confusing and deflecting way ever, they sent me to request an increase in some area of my host's control. I didn't understand so I asked for further elaboration on the request. Instead, I received another passive unbothered response.

I'll stick with the free backups from my hosting company until I find a plugin developer with better support services in the small chance that I contact them for it. It amazes me how easy it has been for some online businesses to suck money (on automatic) from supporters and users of their products all while failing to work on supplying efficient levels of product support. I'm over it. Canceled today.

This plugin no longer works. All my backups fail and there is no contact support only forum support which most of the time doesn't help solve the situation.

I have been using Updraft's backup plugin for over a year and their service has been amazing. Very well coded plugin and makes the backup process extremely easy. You can opt to backup to various cloud services too.

Support is rubbish, been waiting all day for blith emails saying please update your version, when the version installed is already the latest version.

My whole site just crashed when I tried to disable this Plugin. Had no way to restore the saved backups and no way of contacting Updraft Plus. I wish I had read these reviews first. Wouldn't touch this plugin!
