Dominaria United/Commander decks

The Dominaria United Commander Decks were released together with Dominaria United. These are meant to be on-ramps to Commander, with a few new cards and the rest reprints.^[2][3]

Description[ | ]

The two Dominaria United Commander Decks each contain 10 cards that are not found in the DMU main set. In addition, the 20 Legends Retold also feature the DMC expansion code (#29-48).^[4]

Dominaria United Commander cards with the DMC set code and numbered 1–48 (and their alternate versions numbered 49–96) are permitted in the Commander, Legacy, and Vintage formats. Cards with the DMC set code numbered 97 and above are reprinted cards which are legal for play in any format where a card with the same name is already permitted.

Cards with new art are: Urza's Ruinous Blast, Primevals' Glorious Rebirth, Bad River, and Nomad Outpost.

Eight additional cards with the DMC code (#21/48 to #28/48) can only be found in the Set and Collector Boosters. They aren't found in the Dominaria United Commander decks. These cards are:

Tokens and markers[ | ]

The following tokens are created by cards in the decks and are thus included with the decks. However, they are not part of the Dominaria United Commander expansion. Instead, they retain their Dominaria United expansion symbol and collector number:

• 1/1 Goblin creature for Krenko, Tin Street Kingpin and Rasputin, the Oneiromancer.
• 3/3 Beast creature for Beast Within.

The following tokens are created by cards in the decks and are thus included with the decks. They have the Dominaria United Commander expansion symbol and code, but different collector number:

• 4/4 Angel creature with flying and vigilance, for Jenson Carthalion, Druid Exile.
• Treasure artifact, for Captain Lannery Storm, Dihada, Binder of Wills, and The Reaver Cleaver.

The commander decks saw the return of Dream counters and Egg counters.
