Conventions[]

These are open to discussion, so please start a new discussion topic if you have differing ideas.

Language conventions[]

• Err on the side of ordinary sentence capitalisation.

  The rule of thumb is to capitalise things as they appear in the game. To follow the example of the Engineer's Manual:

  Do capitalize: LV Wire Coil, Wire Connectors, Engineer's Hammer, Block of Steel, HV Transformer, Arc Furnace

  Do not capitalize: wires, connectors, hammer, steel, transformers when speaking about these generally

• Keep instructions about key presses in the general sense; prefer use over right-click, sneak instead of shift

Specifics

• Aluminium – Spelled -nium within this mod
• Energy-net or net – Set of interconnected power components (wires, connectors, capacitors, etc.); like an electrical network, but without electricity
• Energy – Capacity to run machines; measured in Flux
• Power – RATE of energy transfer; measured in Flux/tick
• Wire Coil – the inventory item
• Wire – the in-world wire that transfers energy (entity spawned by Wire Coils)
  • Also the crafting component
