Water fountain is a world object in Fallout 4 and a constructible settlement object added in the add-on Vault-Tec Workshop.
Characteristics[]
Water fountains can be used to drink purified water and recover some health without suffering any radiation damage.
In Survival mode, the Sole Survivor can use a water fountain to fill empty glass containers with purified water. The applicable glass containers are: beer bottles, empty milk bottles, Gwinnett ale bottles, Gwinnett lager bottles, liquor bottles, Nuka-Cola bottles and vodka bottles.

The water fountain is located under Furniture → Miscellaneous in the workshop.

- Two in Vault 111.
- Eight can be found on the Institute concourse.
- Six can be found in Vault 114.
- Five can be found in Vault 81.
- Four in the main vault.
- One in secret Vault 81.
- Three in Boston mayoral shelter.
- Two in Vault 95.
Dirty water[]
- Eight in Suffolk County Charter School.
- There is also one outside, affixed to the wall near the swing sets.
- Six in Mass Fusion building.
Two at the National Park visitor's center.- One outside Eagle's Cove Tannery.
Notes[]
- The clean water fountains restore 1.5 HP with every gulp. The gulping sound is audible.
- After about a two second delay to start the fountain, it delivers a "swallow" of water about every one second.
