Dr. Wallace was an entomologist who lived and died before the Great War.

Background[]

Wallace wrote his doctoral thesis on the moths of the Appalachian region. The Cult of the Mothman, worshipping the legendary figure known as the Mothman, believed that the document may have been buried with his belongings in the mausoleum at Kanawha County Cemetery, and that the thesis would unlock many of the spiritual answers that they sought.[1]

Wise Martin the Bearded, a member of the Enlightened, wrote that Wallace's thesis would not grant the cultists any enlightenment, and was likely a study of ordinary moths.[2] In addition, he doubted it would have been buried with Wallace, instead located in the library of the institution that granted Wallace his degree.[2]

Notes[]

Wise Charles the Forewarned may call out to someone named Wallace, beckoning him to "answer."[3]

Appearances[]

Dr. Wallace is mentioned only in Fallout 76, introduced in the Wastelanders update.
