Background[]
Located somewhere in or near the former American state of Utah, around 2123, a group of 24 children, ranged from ages 8–14, half girls, half boys, escaped from the School and fled as far as Zion Canyon to seek refuge.
Unbeknownst to the children, they had been noticed by an elderly Randall Clark who decided to look after them. From listening to the children, Clark learned that an individual known as the Principal seemed to be the one in charge of the School, and the children would invoke his epithet as a kind of boogeyman-like figure to frighten each other for misbehavior.[1] Clark also observed that all the children were literate in the English language, indicative of the School still operating a proper system of education around the time the children escaped.
