Found this location and put a considerable amount of gear that I didn't want to drop in the hollowed out rock. Coming back to collect it the rock is still there but cannot be accessed and the player is able to run straight through it. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if it fixes itself or i've lost all the gear I put in the rock --82.38.212.27 17:45, November 28, 2010 (UTC)

That's not supposed to happen. Save, exit (if on console, turn it off) then go back in the game and see if you can access it. --Kris User Hola 20:10, November 28, 2010 (UTC)

Just a question[]

I know most of the ranks here. But my question is, what does "SP4/5" stand for? YuriKaslov-M1911 small Yuri Kaslov 03:58, January 1, 2011 (UTC)

My personal theory is "Specialist". Personal_Sig_Image.gif Tagaziel (call!) 22:02, January 2, 2011 (UTC)

Soldier pages[]

Is it really necessary to have separate, linked pages for every person on the memorial? It gives that false impression that these people are significant somehow, and that you can find some interesting reference to another Fallout event on their page. Anyone who attempts to search for their name (God knows why) will end up on this page anyway, which contains all relevant information regarding the person in question (which is to say none). Anyone that has actual significance other than appearing on this memorial should arguably have a page, but as it is, I can't tell if they do. And ain't no way I'm clicking through every person here to find out who does and doesn't, and read "fought, and died, at Yangtze yadayada" that many times, unless I have the pleasure of expunging every last one. I was thinking the same thing. I'm all cool for adding a separate, linked page for a soldier that can be a reference to someone else in the game, or someone who did something important, but a separate page for every single name on the memorial? That's a bit too much. By the way, this absurd also happens with the Boulder City memorial. 201.79.179.26 06:25, February 8, 2011 (UTC)

Valuable items[]

I just came here with nine luck on a new game and found in the same mound a incinerator at half repair and a laser RCW at half.--Atlas Lied! 21:38, May 1, 2011 (UTC)

Doggie Treat[]

I removed the line "that can save you some trouble" after the mention of the Doggie treat. Will put it back if someone can explain what trouble it would save you from.

I can see Big Mountain from here![]

I was standing near the Memorial and turned around to see a familiar looking dome in the distance:

Big Mountain Dome?

Is this the Big Mountain Dome?

I always assumed it was so far away that it wasn't that close to the Mojave, considering you need to use the Big Mountain transportalponder to get to it.

But if that is it in the picture, maybe it's closer then I thought it was.

It's the launch dome of the REPCONN Test Site. Great Mara (talk) 08:09, March 13, 2013 (UTC)

Mount Soledad Cross?[]

Surely the Mojave Memorial Cross, which is in the Mojave and next to Goodsprings (albeit to the south instead of the north) is a bigger inspiration --68.205.182.168 17:07, October 15, 2020 (UTC)

Perhaps they were both inspirations. The Mojave cross is pretty far away from Goodsprings. It is south southwest, in the Cima district, and is a wooden cross on top of a large hill of stone. From appearances, the Soledad cross is spot on. I am happy to add them both, I gave it a shout out in my Mojave guide, too.
