German version[]

"In the German version of Fallout: New Vegas, the note is called "Das Schweigen der Brahmin" as a reference to the German title of Silence of the Lambs, "Das Schweigen der Lämmer"."
One was enough, saying that the name is a reference to something is great (it may not be right but still...), but why would we need to list it in every language? The passing of half a year does not suddenly make this a reference when it was not before; and if it were indeed a reference it wouldn't be language-specific, as Jasper said back in November. --Kris 15:37, May 15, 2011 (UTC)

What makes this not a reference? Is there some threshhold to material? I agree that specifying it for German is a bit silly, but I think the connection looks pretty clear. Remmarc 15:40, May 15, 2011 (UTC)

My best guess here is that it's a sly reference to The Silence of the Lambs. In that movie, Clarice always heard the screams of the sheep when they were being slaughtered even into adulthood. Remmarc 19:56, May 14, 2011 (UTC)

I would have to say, regardless of Kris's statement that it is not a reference, it is most definitely a reference to Silence of the Lambs. I have included a link to the scene in question here: [1]. I'm a bit confused why exactly any mentions of Silence of the Lambs gets removed from the wiki. Voiceintheattic 07:21, August 16, 2011 (UTC)
