"Sidetracked by bullshit"[]

As far as I recall, the "sidetracked by bullshit" quote isn't used in the show to refer to the Ghoul's search for his family, it's more of a general statement, so I'm not sure why it's being invoked in the "After the Great War" section. I also don't know if we can really say that the goal was "forgotten." LaymansReign (talk) 01:40, 28 May 2024 (UTC)

Agree. He never says finding his family was forgotten. Maybe he just ran out of leads, or couldn't find the right person to ask, or the show just hadn't gotten around to introducing that plot point yet, or any number of reasons. Also, the sidetracked quote was in a different episode (4). It's E8 episode where he asks Hank (who he recognizes from pre-war Vault-Tec) where his family is. "Now, I've waited over 200 years to ask somebody one question. Where is my fucking family?". I took the sidetracked quote as a nod/Easter egg to side quests in the games.

You can't treat people like this
Yeah why is that?
Because of the Golden Rule.
Wasteland's got its own golden rule. Thou shalt get sidetracked by bullshit every goddamn time.
