wording[]

The way the description is currently worded makes it seem like the total duration of Stealth Boys are increased by 200%. This means that they last three times as long. Are we sure it doesn't increase the total duration by 100%? Double to initial duration, rather than triple? YuriKaslov-M1911 small Yuri Kaslov 01:54, September 16, 2010 (UTC)

You're probably right, but until we know for sure we'll use the wording from the source article. --Kris User Hola 02:03, September 16, 2010 (UTC)
Fair enough. YuriKaslov-M1911 small Yuri Kaslov 02:04, September 16, 2010 (UTC)
I tested this and here is what I found out... With Lily as a companion, my Stealth Boy lasted 4 minutes (2 in-game hours). Without Lily, it lasted 2 minutes (1 in-game hour). So it is definitely twice as much, not triple. Also, the page is incorrect... it says Stealth Boys last 6 minutes. It should be 4. I'll change it. Timzamp 04:02, September 16, 2011 (UTC)

Another issue with vague perk wording[]

The way the perk is phrased seems to imply that Lily grants all sneak attack criticals an extra +10% damage, but only when a Stealth Boy is activated:
But despite the frequency of stealth usage by Nightkin in F:NV, the number of actual Stealth Boys available for the player appears to be restricted. So... does Stealth Girl provide you with any increased damage benefit when you don't have a Stealth Boy handy? --Theicla 16:05, November 7, 2010 (UTC)

I interpret it as giving that bonus to ALL sneak criticals. In fact, like most companion perks, Lilly does not have to be with you; simply having her being 'technically' a companion does the trick, even if she is right there at Jacobstown where you found this loveable super mutant grandmama.--DrMGinius 21:11, November 8, 2010 (UTC)

Using Stealth Armor[]

Would like to know whether Stealth Girl provides the additional +10% sneak damage critical when used in conjunction with Chinese Stealth Armor, at least. --Theicla 16:05, November 7, 2010 (UTC)

The Fallout: New Vegas version of the Chinese Stealth Armor doesn't have a stealth field. --Kris User Hola 17:01, November 7, 2010 (UTC)
Guess that the CSA has been nerfed by making it an undesirable variant of Recon Armor. Gah. I still don't know whether you get increased sneak criticals without using a Stealth Boy for this companion perk. --Theicla 19:52, November 7, 2010 (UTC)
