Reference to the CoD perk?[]

In Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare through MW3, plus Ghosts, there was a perk of the same name which provided the same benefits. Is this some obscure coincidence, or an actual reference to the perk? Miggy (hawk talk) 20:41, January 15, 2016 (UTC)

Perk not reducing Combat Shotgun reticle[]

Is it me or does this perk not affect the Combat Shotgun hip-fire reticle?
-Yosharian

Update: checked this more thoroughly, and the perk does indeed not work on shotguns. It's in the game code, there's a bit that literally disqualifies shotguns from being affected by the perk. There is a mod on the Nexus which fixes it. I added a note to the page, not sure if I wrote it correctly, feel free to change it if I did it wrong.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Yosharian (talkcontribs). It would probably be good to put the code snippet that states that onto the page itself to have as a reference. But we don't really mention mods on our pages since they aren't official content, so I removed that part. Great Mara (talk) 06:54, January 2, 2018 (UTC)
I see, thanks for the advice. The code is a 'perk condition' state that references the keyword WeaponTypeShotgun. Not sure how else to reference it other than to say you can find a more detailed image at the mod page here: https://rd.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/9458 . I'm not knowledgeable enough about the game code to say more than that! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Yosharian (talkcontribs). Please sign your posts with ~~~~!
