Nuclear missile, how?[]

The article says: "The raiders seemed to be allied with a scientist who is working on utilizing the satellite array to communicate with an orbiting, nuclear-missile bearing satellite. Though one cannot aim the nuke it is possible to set it off and it falls into the wasteland near the array." How can you set it off? -- 00:04, 14 July 2009 (UTC)

Theres a computer display up next to the ladder, you gotta loot the note from the scientest, then blow that sh*t to hell :D.Had24get 13:25, January 15, 2010 (UTC)

I believe you are thinking of SatCom Array NW-05a. All the info you need is on the page for that SatCom array. --LukeT12345 03:14, October 8, 2010 (UTC)

Any way to get Giant Bear on consoles?[]

I have tried a mixture of grenades, explosives, and firearms in order to get a concussive blast and a "lucky bounce" to bring the bear closer to the crack in the door. So far no luck - all blasts knock it away. Have yet to try a mini-nuke or Experimental MIRV (this is a worthwhile use of 8 mini nukes IMO). Has anyone had success grabbing it through the crack? --ChaIsADumpStat 21:04, 22 January 2009 (UTC)

Child Raider?[]

On one of the towers there was a raider that was noticeably smaller than my character, but she seemed to have the voice patterns of a normal raider and.. Well, her head popped like a watermelon, but that besides the point. Can anyone clarify this person being there, or was it another random happenstance?

Happened to me! Just saw the head poking over the sandbags, compared bodies after, Notable size difference. Always respawns that size. Fat Man Spoon 23:41, 9 May 2009 (UTC)
I noticed too! He was in tower A for me. --Pratstercs 18:58, 14 August 2009 (UTC)

Obtaining Giant Bear[]

I was about to post on here that I'd found a way to seemingly magically transport the bear into the room, while I was trying to blow the boards apart in hopes of getting into the room, to find that someone else had already posted a video about it. So I'll spare everyone my "OMFG I'm sooo cool I got the giant teddy bear" post that I was planning on writing, and say instead that the method shown in the video works on the XBOX 360, for any who may be wondering. I only used 8 Frag mines though, since that was all I had in my inventory at the time (the video states you need 15 - 20, which may be true if you have a very low explosives skill; my explosives skill was at 76 when I got the bear), as well as a .32 pistol (instead of the BB Gun that the video says you need), since that's my Radroach / Mole rat killing weapon, and despite the differences in amount of mines and gun used, it still got the bear through. - Fembot G.g3 07:00, 28 February 2009 (UTC)

Confirmed on the PS3 as well. I had more luck putting the explosives to the right of the boarded up door, than I did putting them to the left. It probably doesn't really matter though, so long as it's a strong enough blast, and you just happen to get lucky. --Mutas 16:21, 22 August 2009 (UTC)

Mini chess board[]

Someone at Bethesda must be autistic or something. I can't imagine how long that must've taken - Lomopingseph

How would it take long? It would be easy to code, wouldn't it? --Pratstercs 19:00, 14 August 2009 (UTC)

Burial Mounds[]

In front of one of the towers between this location and Fort Constantine are two Burial Mounds and an empty coffin. Just wondering if anyone has found these burial mounds to be other than empty. 169.145.3.21 21:59, 29 June 2009 (UTC)

I just discovered these as well. Empty for me too, unfortunately. 220.245.186.240 13:50, 11 July 2009 (UTC)

Some of the ex-occupants are in one of the towers of the satcom array... so mabey they werent empty? also would that be good temp storage? (i use alot of "multilated" suff for my rock-it launcer, i think it would be funny to store it there...Had24get 13:27, January 15, 2010 (UTC)

Strange Flying Object?[]

I was at the SatCom Array searching corpses when all of a sudden some "thing" slowy floated over the place and headed towards Oasis. Has anyone else seen this??--Megaton bomber 05:12, 1 July 2009 (UTC) Megaton bomber

Don't start myths if you are trying to pass that off it won't work because that is not the firelance event nor is mothership zeta out yet. Acdczombie 05:18, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
No im not saying it's either of those just some random object.--Megaton bomber 07:34, 1 July 2009 (UTC)Megaton bomber
I am aware of this but you are trying to start one of those UFO myths that spawns shitloads of youtube videos so I will ask you not to keep talking about it if it does exist it is a glitch in your graphics. Acdczombie 15:23, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
yeah it probably was a glitch--Megaton bomber 23:01, 1 July 2009 (UTC)Megaton bomber
There are a large amount of Deathclaws within the area. it is possible that one died and the physics enguine made it flip out. Chaos ian7 04:03, June 12, 2010 (UTC)

Enclave vs talon company?[]

I think there are usually two enclave that spawn a little north of here, but when I exited there were the usual two, killing a random talon company merc. When I went to kill them off, three more enclave popped up with flamers and then three more talon company came from the opposite side. I was stuck in the middle, I get the three talon company but why did three more enclave pop up and why was there a random talon merc spawning with the two usual enclave?

I reloaded the last save and now one of the outcast that is spawned was in the middle of it all with a deathclaw. Never have had this happen before. Nice little war zone though. --Bottrot 19:49, 7 August 2009 (UTC)

Giant teddys gone?[]

Giant teddy was there the first time i went, but to my astonishment i didnt have enough mines (unless plasma would work too but i deceded i ddint want to kill myself)... i came back with 100 mines and a grand determination and the teddy wasnt in there anymore, i poked about and still couldnt find the lil bugger... does he dissapear if you dont nab him?Had24get 13:29, January 15, 2010 (UTC)

Removed from article[]

the fallowing has been removed from the article due to improper formating

There appears to be a regular glitch with the giant teddy bear that explains Note 2 (Once in your inventory...) and Note 4 (If and when you do...). While bored and repeatedly blowing it free to take back home, I noticed the bear did lose some size and appear to be impossible to sit upright as stated. But once every dozen attempts or so, the bear actually retained it's full (staggeringly large) size, and was effortless to position in any manner desired. Keep re-trying until you get this 'non-bugged' version. Be advised that the true full size seems to make it glitch out and 'merge' with the wall of any small room back at your house in megaton. It is also too large to manually move through any doorway, unlike the more common 'bugged' version. Experienced on the 360. Note: i added this quite some time ago before creating a wiki account. That note was added to the article by 76.22.41.221, just thought that should be at least mentioned. Kris mailbox 10:02, August 21, 2010 (UTC)

Sporks[]

"Balanced on the railing of the walkway leading to the chessboard, you will find a carefully arranged array of sporks. They may spell out something if looked at from a certain angle" - they collapse onto the walkway as soon as I enter the room. Do they spell out anything, and if so what? -146.90.47.236 11:42, June 10, 2018 (UTC)
