It seems this area was never finished. It had some clear post-war looking shops that do not become active after clearing the town. It's a pity or perhaps an opportunity for a modder.

Agreed, the area feels very sparse. I traversed from Recon Bunker Theta to Salem encountering only two Mirelurks and a Raider at Coastal Cabin. There are a bizarre lack of mobs, or otherwise in the whole North East of the map. I'm level 27. Riskyj (talk) 19:45, January 4, 2016 (UTC)

Loot listed on other pages[]

Should we be listing loot here that is listed on the various sub-location articles such as Rook family house? -- DeJuanNOnley (talk) 22:07, February 15, 2016 (UTC)

Salem Village/City?[]

Things that happened in Danvers(AKA Salem Village) are being attributed to Salem City. Examples include the most obvious one: the witch trials. Other things include Andrew Endicott being from Salem -- what he would know as Salem Village in 1697 became Danvers. I'm not sure how this can be reconciled as the official material itself seems to mistake them for the same area. --RustyShackleford0 (talk) 05:46, April 21, 2020 (UTC)

Post War nature of Salem only partially credited[]

I read what the source (the survival guide) says about Salem, and it doesn't correspond to what is written here. The part about it being a safe and prosperous community I mean. Its only words on Salem at the section quoted, "Up north, Salem long continues its reputation for horror." Even the page on Salem itself doesn't have anything to say on the matter. "Once a quaint coastal town and seaport, the tourist destination was infamous for its witch trials of 1692. Nowadays the population has dwindled considerably due to gunner activity in the area, the crazies worshipping a radiation crater down the road, and the large number of mating Mirelurks in the waters all around the bay. Proceed at your own risk." The real source of this information is the conversation with Barney Rook mid-mission when you ask him "What happened here?" I'd change it if I better understood the crediting process.--IrresoluteCartographer (talk) 15:10, 30 October 2021 (UTC)

Yeah, you were right, that game guide reference did not made any sense to support the previous statement. I have updated the article with Barney's dialogue instead. –FindabairMini-JSPnP LogoThe benefit of the doubt is often doubtful. 16:23, 30 October 2021 (UTC)
