A little ridiculous[]

So let me get this straight. It's meth fumes from cow shit. Then you put the meth in your water. and it works like an energy drink.

In a world where just the right amount of radiation makes you live forever, but without your skin, yeah, sounds about right. Super Duper Mutant 00:09, October 9, 2011 (UTC)

I think the point of putting it in water is because it's supposed to slow down how fast your body absorbs the drug to prduce a less intense and more even effect. Kinda like how taking meth orally produces a different effect than smoking or injecting. 74.75.93.119 02:39, June 8, 2012 (UTC)

Combat drug without addiction. sound like something come out of Vault City's research on Jet. And chap, it's not fume from cow shit. Brahmin's shit, after being fed by some special protein extract. Brahmin, as youknow, is mutated 2-head cow. If you want to make fun of pseudo-science, at least get your facts straight. Does it kill you to read a page right here in wikia on Jet?Laclongquan (talk) 06:04, June 7, 2013 (UTC)

Laclongquan, you have to understand that most people on this Wiki haven't played Fallout 1 or 2, don't plan on it because they aren't FPS games, and still want to contribute with opinions. You should know what you may have to deal with on here. 184.56.90.168 08:47, August 30, 2013 (UTC)

Harms fire rate.[]

Outside of VATS I've found that using this greatly harms fire rate, esp with A Light Shining In Darkness.

Is this affected by chemist, Day tripper, etc? I have the greatest idea, ever. Slayer, Melee Hacker, rushing water...certain weapons could reach around 9 attacks per second with this (I'm looking at you, Katana.--FAR-02C 17:43, October 6, 2011 (UTC))

^This is patently ridiculous with Slayer + Melee Hacking + War Club Honors. The power attack is faster than most weapons' normal swing. Super Duper Mutant 00:11, October 9, 2011 (UTC)

Decrease in AP cost?[]

I haven't bought the dlc yet or I would test this myself. Does anyone know if this decreases the AP cost proportionally, as fast shot and "Ain't like that anymore" do? Also, are attack speed increasers multiplicative or additive? -NamesLucky

Rushing water + Turbo[]

Rushing water works well together with turbo. The combination is especially effective when you are using weapons with a slow rate of fire, like the Hunting Shotgun. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.153.114.85 (talkcontribs). Please sign your posts with ~~~~!

Reloading[]

Reloading in V.A.T.S. is instantaneous while you are under the effects of Rushing water (tested on several types of weapons). Reloading out of V.A.T.S. is however unaffected.

Melee is now OP[]

To say that this syncs well with Melee characters is an understatement. After getting relevent perks in the base game (Melee Hacker Rank 2 and Slayer), the attack speed for all Melee weapons gets a 40% increase. Gun Runners' Arsenal gives us a Katana that can be upgraded to swing 20% faster, giving us a conditional 60% increased attack speed when using the Katana. And then comes the Rushing Water... oh dear God. And all of these effects stack, mind you, so now we have a temporary, conditional 110% attack speed increase with the Katana until Rushing Water wears off. And it's unlikely that anyone ever uses Jet for reasons other than crafting (unless you happen to be lacking in Agility and it's turned you into a chem-addicted vagrant), so you've probably just been amassing more and more of the stuff, meaning you can always make more Rushing Water. Also, you move ridiculously fast while power attacking. It's almost mind-boggling how quickly I can close the gap now. Choi to demo ore ni kanau to omotta ka! Manuke ga~a!
