Would it be appropriate to mention in trivia, the humor of finding a dog at a 'Red Rocket' station?

It seems like a fairly obvious reference to the crude joke.

I think it's worth mentioning the use of the caves before the war.

Is there a source for that "2800% inflation" figure? I saw some references in Fallout 4 that made it seem that they've retconned the inflation a little bits. The magazines in game all are about $35-40 for examples. Now, it's pretty hard to get a great estimate on inflation based on that alone, but to buy a magazine of those sizes off of a shelf today is about $5.00, right? Based on that, inflation is less than %10,000. This seems more correct, because unless they completely retconned the resource crisis out of Fallout history, $4.00 per gallon actually seems too low. It's true that the US was actually able to still have gas powered vehicles and what not (compared to most of the rest of the world that had basically already collapsed from their gas reserves running dry), but I thought that gas was still extremely expensive, which was the primary reason people were buying the newly massed produced fusion powered cars in the US. Still, the intro to Fallout 4 seemed to imply they may have changed the pre-war narrative a bit. Rather than the resource crisis coming first, they make it sound like they developed fusion power as an alternative fuel fairly early on. Until Fallout 4, our limited information on pre-war America seemed to suggest that nuclear power didn't revolutionize things until the first power armor was developed, and they created portable fuel cells that were then introduced into the private sector and rapidly changed things for the US. They never said that there wasn't nuclear power stations powering city infrastructure, though.

I have added a note about settlement attacks, since I have experienced 5 attacks at this location in 20 hours of gameplay. --Mousemystery (talk) 04:00, December 3, 2015 (UTC)

Aren't You Hungry[]

Maybe it should be mentioned that (A) this can be a settlement, except that (B) there doesn't seem to be anywhere to plant food. (also, can you actually have a settlement that doesn't produce food? like, won't your peeps starve to death or something?) Noobyorkcity (talk) 06:55, December 3, 2015 (UTC)

The Truck Stop can have food. At least, I know there's enough dirt around the outside to plant some crops. However, there are a few settlements which can not have food placed, with the only one that comes to mind for me right now being Boston Airport. Also, settlers can never starve to death. Their happiness will be low, but otherwise you're not going to lose Settlers because of no food. The (not-so) faux Hawk 07:01, December 3, 2015 (UTC)

There is plenty of dirt to plant food.--Mousemystery (talk) 07:36, December 3, 2015 (UTC)

OK yeah, my bad. I left the "seeds" in a container and forgot I didn't have them with me. Derp! Good to know that residents don't die from neglect.Noobyorkcity (talk) 09:09, December 3, 2015 (UTC)

Office doorway[]

Has anyone tried snapping a door to the "office" doorway? Because I just did without using the fence technique. If so, this may be the only settlement that lets you do that to a preexisting building, and that is just completely stupid.

Comment[]

At the Red Rocket Truck stop if you go to the cave behind red rocket truck stop near sanctuary you can find that to side of it you can find some loot. Now the loot is always the same but it can respawn. This can not work if any object is that some of the loot spawns in is moved. So next time you start a new game go down there and pick yourself up some free loot and if you go back there the grab it again. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Someguy254454 (talkcontribs). Infobox heading[]

Red Rocket truck stop is a settlement. The first note above the {{infobox location}} template reads, its a "Fallout 4 location". It should read: its a "Fallout 4 settlement". Qrsr (talk) 13:02, 23 June 2022 (UTC)

Debating the exact in-game definition of what's considered a part of "The Commonwealth"[]

In case you aren't aware the entirety of Massachusetts is considered a commonwealth IRL. However, after looking at other parts of the Fandom related to 4's maps, I decided to base my claim under the impression that in-game the name "Commonwealth" refers to the main map.

Both Nuka-World and The Commonwealth are listed as "Part of Massachusetts," while a more specific location like Boston is listed as "Part of The Commonwealth." What this signifies to me is that Nuka-World is considered it's own region separate from The Commonwealth(Which makes sense because it's a completely separate map) and therefore the Red Rocket located in it isn't a part of the Commonwealth region. 8SilverEdits (talk) 19:32, 21 September 2023 (UTC)
