Personalities[]

This page needs a personallity list. Construction Worker Mode enforces workplace safety laws with deadly force. Specifically, it will attack anyone not wearing a hard hat (though it seems several other types of helms will also qualify).

Law Enforcement Mode will not attack you if you don't have a weapon drawn.

Medical Responder Mode does not appear to be hostile unless attacked.

Is what i know so far. —Preceding comment was unsigned. Please sign your posts with ~~~~!

I also tested the personalities at length. The construction bot never attacked me, although it did constantly remind me about the hard hat. Also, I had a weapon drawn for about 1/2 hour as a Law Enforcement model helped clear a base full of raiders, he never attacked me either. Also, the Medical Responder openly attacked a group of ghouls that never attacked it. Or, to phrase that differently: during my testing I had the medical responder patrol the whole facility, walking straight past 'sleeping' ghouls with no conflict. When I walked over and the ghouls woke up to attack me, the medical responder defended me, despite never being attacked himself. In fact, he got in the way and I accidentally shot him, and he still did not turn hostile to me. After combat was over, I shot him again and he did attack.
TL/DR: In my experience, they all act the exact same way. The only change I saw was being attacked by the subway one for not having a subway token (even though I did). Degrelescence (talk) 22:39, November 19, 2015 (UTC)
Anyone manage to properly present a subway token with the subway steward mode or does it always go hostile regardless of what you do? Seems bugged to me. --Rooker75 (talk) 09:34, November 20, 2015 (UTC)
My experience is that it is bugged. I did have a token and it didn't care and attacked me anyway. Degrelescence (talk) 22:26, November 20, 2015 (UTC)

Protectron variants[]

So, I just looked them all up in game and spawned them and whatnot and there are a LOT of variants. There are 7 different Protectrons, simply named "Protectron" including the ones that look like fire marshals and medics. There is also a protectron watcher, a prot guardian, a prot steward, a utility protectron, police prot, legendary watcher, and legendary guardian. So 14 protectron variants in total. I don't think we really want to have all 14 variants on one page. Seems to me like only the ones named "Protectron" should be here (7 is enough) and the others should get their own pages. Especially being as their stats, personality, and weapons change based on which one is up. Most use a "protectron head laser" but the utility ones fire rail spikes, the fire marshal ones use a cryo weapon, and the medic ones use a defibrillator (electric damage)... I am sure there are more but I got tired of all the scanning through base IDs lol. Degrelescence (talk) 19:42, November 26, 2015 (UTC)

THE HAX[]

I only get the first two options with the Protectron override program. No hijack VIP escort, just the first two. --Azaram (talk) 04:25, December 26, 2015 (UTC)

Way to checked damage received?[]

Just nailed a Protectron Guardian in the head in VATS with 5 shots from the Railway Rifle with barely any damage, but two shots to its torso afterward totaled it for much more damage. Does a Protectron's head have more DR, or should this be a bug noted on the Railway Rifle page? Great Mara (talk) 02:55, December 31, 2015 (UTC)

Encountered a couple more and they definitely seem to be taking more damage when their torso is targeted compared to their heads. Can enemies have seperate DR for different parts of their body? Great Mara (talk) 04:05, December 31, 2015 (UTC)
This conversation was a while ago, but yes. Every creature has a different DR for different parts of their body, but it is slightly more complicated than that, as well. That DR might be specific to the type of weapon... Not sure if that helps. Degrelescence (talk) 07:15, June 26, 2016 (UTC)

Respawn?[]

IN FALLOUT 4 PROTECTRONS ARE (((((GENERALLY))))) FOUND in their recharging pods etc (my protectron has no recharging pods anywhere near him Collegiate Administration Building (HE IS A WANDERER AND i want to know once dead does he respawn, couldnt add the generally word apparently

Every creature except uniques respawn (unless there is some event to prevent it). That includes random roaming Protectrons. I don't know specifically about that one, however. Degrelescence (talk) 07:15, June 26, 2016 (UTC) you can erase this after correction,, and im still hoping to learn if they are infinite (wanderers are not seemingly infinite, my collegiate protectron has disapeared,, he was forever 1/6 hp now hes not even body dead maybe he got killed and disapeared but the bloaftly are still corpse nuissance,, but id like to know if the protectron you active trough in pods (corvega, lexington mart,, subway station near police department are they all (in pods, after death respawn like everything else?) erase sentences after answered thx

Nukatron behavior[]

Not sure if I'm imagining this, but it seems like the Nukatrons won't engage or follow the Sole Survivor outside of a set patrol area. Is there any way to verify this in the creation kit? Great Mara (talk) 01:46, September 30, 2016 (UTC)
