Trap[]

I believe the "trap" is intended to be found from the sewer side - not from the outside. Here's why: 1 - As you mention, the trap isn't really a trap from the outside as you can fast travel out of it. 2 - If you find it from the sewers you enter the trap from the bottom. If you haven't cleared out the town of Death Claws - or even if you think you did they may respawn - one will be on top of the grate and it will fall on you. Trapping you in a tiny quarters fighting a Death Claw. This scared the crap out of me, but was an awesome "trap." —Preceding unsigned comment added by 192.55.2.36 (talkcontribs) 16:02, January 9, 2009 (UTC). Please sign your posts with ~~~~!

On the wiki page for Olney sewers, it says that "The pit can also be exited by climbing up the wall with the trap-door grate." Really? How? There's no general climbing mechanic in Fallout 3 (without mods). I just played this part recently and didn't see a prompt (as with some ladders) to climb up out of the pit when I fell in. Or did I miss it? FionaMcDonough (talk) 15:50, May 12, 2021 (UTC)
I'm gonna take a look at that part now, thanks for thinking critical, keep up the good work. --FindabairMini-JSPnP LogoThe benefit of the doubt is often doubtful. 12:57, 13 May 2021 (UTC)
Rewrote that whole dang article. To answer the original question, yes, it is possible to "climb" out of that pit with the dropping grate. Position yourself directly in the NW corner, then hold forward, while continuously pressing jump. It may take some practice, but at least on PC it is perfectly possible. Hope this helps. --FindabairMini-JSPnP LogoThe benefit of the doubt is often doubtful. 16:10, 13 May 2021 (UTC)

Medic Armor[]

Just after updating Fallout to 1.1, I went to Old Olney to get the Medic Armor and...the room where it should be (I've done it on another file) has only three skeletons. No raiders, no brotherhood of steel solider, just skeletons. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Evan360 (talkcontribs) 19:41, January 13, 2009 (UTC). Please sign your posts with ~~~~!

medic power armor[]

a warning needs to be posted because, for those with the Broken Steel DLC, going into the sewers is necessary for completion of the story line, and many, like me, could go in and through without finding the power armor, thus having it disappear. on a related note, does anyone know the ID for the initiate in the sewers so I can spawn him to get the power armor and all the associated other loot.

There are two common reasons for this, either you have entered the sewers before and didn't grab the armor (a bug makes it go bye bye) or the initiate has fallen through the map.--Kingclyde 16:54, 19 June 2009 (UTC)

Safe Containers?[]

Pretty much every container is safe. Kris (talk) 20:52, August 6, 2010 (UTC)

Ladder[]

Is there any way to go up the ladder by the protectron that requires the key in the sewer? —Preceding comment was unsigned. Please sign your posts with ~~~~!

Yes, beat the main quest and continue the storyline in Broken Steel. Eventually you'll be sent to Old Olney, at which time that sewer grate is unlocked. Kris (talk) 20:53, August 6, 2010 (UTC)

Not exactly the place to ask this. Why not check the deathclaw page? Nitty Tok. 17:43, August 10, 2010 (UTC)
