Behind the scenes[]

I'm not adding it to the page myself but I would suggest that this is reference to Sokka's sword from Avatar: The Last Airbender. His sword bears a very similar design, although this one seems old and pitted, and was forged from metal found in a meteorite. Hm … I don't think the images on the linked page are enough evidence to make this comparison. -- UserCCCSig -- You talkin' to me? -- cCContributions -- 17:13, 15 December 2020 (UTC)
Forging using meteor metal is a trope that predates Avatar. Great Mara (talk) 17:14, 15 December 2020 (UTC)
Yeah, no. Seeing as how this is how a "generic" Chinese Jian, the reference should just be Chinese military swords (like how all the other countries have a sword for an officer). The trope of using meteoric iron to make weapons has been recorded in multiple civilizations. The reason why this is called "meteor" sword might be a reference to a martial arts novel turned video game, drama, etc in China a while ago called "Meteor, Butterfly, Sword" whereby the main character uses a sword style called "Meteor style".
