Why Does It Need to be a Pre-War Company?[]

Clearly, if Tactics is any indication, the Browning HP exists as such in the Fallout universe. While there are realworld companies which share their design specs (the 1911 is probably the most notorious, though Taurus makes lots of guns based on the Beretta 92 series), I'm not aware of anyone but Browning and their parent company, Fabrique Nationale making a HP. Isn't it just as likely M&A is a postwar company making guns based on Browning's design? It's heavily implied that's what the Gun Runners are doing. I agree, while gun smithing is an uncommon skill, there's nothing indicating that M & A are pre-War. Thank you, Paladin117^{>>iff bored;} 02:07, April 25, 2015 (UTC)
