If the location isn't an objective of the quest, then it shouldn't. However, sometimes collection objectives in quests highlight a place where you could easily get an item, like how Flavors of Mayhem marks the archery set when any deathclaw will work. If it could be verified if the plant is highlighted or not, that would help. AllYourFavorites (talk) 02:21, 24 June 2021 (UTC)

I was digging through the quest recently and it actually has a fixed marker that it will place on the plant if the player doesn't already have a quantum in their inventory. The quest is set up to spawn one there for the player to get. So there's definitely a connection there. Gilpo1 (talk) 13:52, 5 July 2021 (UTC)
