Bug/Exploit[]
I have no idea if this has been patched yet, but during the quest "Bye Bye Love", before agreeing with Joana to go to her room to talk, you can pass a speech check of 55 (I think, it is available if you fail the medicine check). After you pass the speech check, you can say "Actually, I have some other questions", and go back. Follow the same steps to get to the speech check; "I want to know about you" "What's it like here?" "Do you like it here?" And then the speech check. This can be repeated infinitely for 75 EXP -Note- When you agree to go to her room, this exploit is closed forever.

+As far as I know, this hasn't been patched yet. The same thing applies to the speech check of 75, so I would assume that it also applies to the 55 check as well.

Seriously, I want to know why her head is so small. If you insist on removing this comment, the least you can do is reply. Why is her head so small?

Disappears[]
I've noticed that if I complete "How little we know" without starting "bye bye love" Joana seems to disappear. Is this a glitch or does the game assume she OD somewhere?
My guess is that it's a bug, since otherwise you should get a "Quest Failed" notice for Bye Bye Love after completing How Little We Know. Either way it should be noted on the main page. I'm going to put it under "Bugs." Can someone please verify whether this occurs on platforms other than PC? --Mister Twist 23:28, November 5, 2011 (UTC)

i watched a vid and heard this one crying out during the act i'm not sure if its a mod or not, is it?

Is it like that for all the women the player can sleep with? With some, all I got was moaning. With ones like Red Lucy and Joana, it seemed like their heads exploded. -Malus X 02:20, February 6, 2011 (UTC)

Inaccurate?[]
This page says the Lady Killer perk allows the Courier to sleep with Joana for free. This doesn't seem to be true (I'm on PC) and there is no mention of it in the Lady Killer wiki page.

Taking the Cherchez La Femme perk gives a female player the option of bypassing Joana's speech checks. The Lady Killer perk does not allow a male player the same advantage when speaking to Joana. I'll go ahead and correct that. Hbh128 (talk) 09:18, June 25, 2015 (UTC)
Standing on bed[]
I've noticed that after sleeping with her, Joana appears standing on the bed. I didn't stick my character in bed with all that many NPCs so I've no idea if this is a regular occurrence, but if memory serves, this is how several female NPCs appeared after sleeping with them in Fallout 2 (my memories are a bit hazy, but I think it was the wife and/or daughter of one of the crime bosses in New Reno) - might this be a bit of a nod?

After the completion of "Bye, Bye Love", I caught her as she headed out of Freeside and talked with her. She had more dialog: "I'm happy to see you again. Carlos and I have been living here since our escape. We'll never forget what you've done for us". Perhaps she appears in an unnamed structure?Iamweaver (talk) 01:41, 30 May 2021 (UTC)

Disappears after How Little We Know?[]
I completed How Little We Know earlier in the game in favor of the Omertas. Didn't enter the courtyard and interact with Joanna at all during the course of this. Came back a while later and there was no sign of her in the Gomorrah courtyard. Is she set to disappear after the quest is finished? Great Mara (talk) 22:28, November 26, 2014 (UTC)
- Hi Mara, have you checked her room and/or around the courtyard? She might be there unless you completed Bye Bye Love, otherwise open console command, type "prid 112471" then "moveto 14" to make her teleport to you. Hmm, I'm not sure, but once she or any other npc disappeared from the consoles, the only way to solve that issue is to load your previous save that still have Joana, on a second thought, try clearing your cache, reinstall the patch, maybe that will fix. ------Cassie Ultimate Anime Loving Weeaboo.✿ 23:37, November 26, 2014 (UTC)
