Reception[]

Could someone go check to see if the Junktown Jerkey Vendor book is actually in the reception area. I just went over the place with what I thought was a fine-toothed comb and came up empty. I did find a pre-war book in the reception area, but no "Tales...". Marstinson 02:18, 27 November 2008 (UTC)

Yep, found it. Added better directions. Mirar 11:43, 3 December 2008 (UTC)
Directions are pinpoint correct at the reception area (june 2010) - PS3 GOTY

Grognak Issue #361(?)[]

In Hubris Comics there is a terminal that lets you turn on/off the printing presses which only causes a lot of smoke to emit from the presses. Another option in is Check Ink Levels, which simply says "Red Ink Low". Maybe there is a way to print an additional Grognak from here with the ink found in the Arlington Library?

I'd say yes to that if maybe the ink container wasn't used for Stealing Independence and if the reading 'program' was like it in ESIV:O but for most books you can only upgrade a skill i.e Grognak the Barbarian > Melee so if you could make more GtB books then you could have unlimited melee or like 20 more melee points and likee the Wasteland Survival guide isn't readable ( very annoying! ) so i don't think so :P ~C-e~r-b~u-r~u-s~ 20:41, June 6, 2010 (UTC)

From our world perspective it is not logical to use red ink (but Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Key or Black). Second, the ink from Stealing Independance should be black like the original declaration of independence. Third, it is not confirmed in G.E.C.K. (only the cut quest from printing the Wasteland Survival Guide yourself).

Printing press[]

As far as I can tell... There is no way to make the press work. However I have found that the smoke from turning on the printing press disables the turrets (they still work they just don't fire anymore). I'll admit this isn't too usefull for most people since they'll probably destroy the turrets before turning on the printing press, but there you are. Sneaking as far as the terminal is possible - and disabling the turrets does make the fight a little easier I guess.

Oh by the way - I also verified that the turrets do get disabled by turning on the press (in G.E.C.K.) - and they are turned back on if the press is turned off as far as I can tell... --DPaladin 23:36, 3 January 2009 (UTC)

Going by the GECK, it seems there was a cut objective for The Wasteland Survival Guide (quest stages 100 & 105) where you'd have to print the books yourself at Hubris Comics and bring them back to Moira (who at that point was apparently still called "Lea"). Probably you'd have had to use the Printing Press for that. // Porter21 U | T 00:55, 4 January 2009 (UTC)

For Future Notice[]

Do not use capitalization for emphasis. If you want to emphasize something, use italics.

Creepy Things[]

In the Hubris Comics Publishing Area and I've had 3 events that I would only see in the Dunwich Building. I've had a plate fly at me and miss me by a hair, a shotgun blast went off on a corpse with no trigger traps or anything, and I've had bullets come from no where and shoot me. Glitch? (Xbox 360; Installed on HD; Feb 06, 2009)

This building is full of traps, perhaps you overlooked the tripwires ;) - PS3 GOTY not confirmed

Disappearing Baseballs[]

In Hubris Comics Publishing after tripping the three pitching machines and watching the baseballs pile up in the corner, I walked past the machines into the room right next to them. After scouting that room I went back to the corner and all of the baseballs were gone.

After entry to the room behind the pitching machines, the balls are all gone - PS3 GOTY confirmed

Happens on the 360 as well.--201.10.22.129 15:20, November 8, 2010 (UTC)

Pitching machine baseballs seem to not be stable anywhere. Try Gold Ribbon Grocers a few times, they sometimes disappear as well. 130.184.198.43 20:25, November 15, 2012 (UTC)

Feral Ghouls[]

"* The feral ghouls occasionally appear friendly and will not fight."

Was this with or without a Ghoul Mask? Corinthian-blue 00:37, February 26, 2010 (UTC)

Without Ghoul Mask hostile - and with Ghoul Mask friendly until attacked - PS3 GOTY not confirmed

Abnormally powerful Feral Ghoul Roamer appears in the room with the text game terminal (not sure if it is a bug or a kind of a boss fight). When I entered the room there were no enemies nearby. Went downstairs, started looting the shelves behind the stairs, didn't move, just turned around. Suddenly something exploded hurting me and a Feral Ghoul Roamer appeared. It didn't have any special name, appearance or loot on it but it appeared out of nowhere, charged directly at me and was super powerful - it took me a couple of minutes of running from it while shooting it with the Chinese Assault Rifle after crippling it with a Dart Gun, it took about 4 full clips before it died and my character is lvl 23 and has 100 points in small guns, regular Feral Roamers would die with like half a clip.

New Bug[]

Shooting the back of the disarmed booby trapped terminal in reception results in a the "this computer trap is disarmed..." message being displayed, you then have to hit "ok" 6 times for the message to go away. Xbox360 24.159.226.154 04:09, February 28, 2010 (UTC)

Computer Hack and Invisible Turret[]

The article discusses a computer terminal that's supposed to disable the turrets but doesn't work. I can't hack the computer, but when I just went through that area, I stumbled (literally) across an invisible turret (a mark III). I was able to get a surprise attack on it with my fists and destroy it. I am running mods, but I don't think that those would change this behavior. Can anyone verify? The turret should be right in front of the computer, maybe five steps forward. Even if the terminal "works" it would be pointless because you'd have to get past the turret first. I suspect that the turret doesn't work anyway, because my sneak is in the low 20's. There's no way I should be able to sneak past a turret like that if it were working right. 174.22.141.237 04:31, March 21, 2015 (UTC)

I would like to add to Notable Loot[]

Hubris Comics Publishing: a Nuka-Cola Quantum, in vending machine (location not shown on map images), southeastern most point. Appears as a small room on map (Fallout 3 Game of the Year edition). This is also the eastern entrance to the beta testing area.

Accepting comments here. Thanks. Onlythelonelywanderer (talk) 16:15, October 11, 2020 (UTC)

The Nuka-Cola Quantums in the vending machines are random. You might as well get zero Quantums here. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 16:31, October 11, 2020 (UTC)

Wrong directions[]

No, the Hubris comics utility tunnels do not come out near Wilhelm's Wharf. The culvert there is the county sewer mainline. The Hubris ones come out directly north of the citadel and east of Marigold station. Rmaine (talk) 04:07, 13 April 2024 (UTC)
