No pets[]

I've been playing on "hardcore" or "Survival" or whatever you want to call it, for about three weeks now. Difficult objectives usually yield caps, and I've yet to see so much as a single pet. Were they omitted from the higher difficulty mode? Nokota (talk) 20:15, February 17, 2016 (UTC)

Objective Completion[]

What do the pets that have 'Objective Completion' mean? do they give you extra rewards only if that dweller was involved in completing an objective? Is it global across the vault? SnowWolf75 (talk) 19:32, May 21, 2016 (UTC)

Just found this thread which explains it--very useful pet to have. {{SUBST:User:Kelcat/SigInclude}} 04:23, February 11, 2017 (UTC)

Do they deal damage?[]

Pets do have an attack animation, but do they actually deal damage?

Edit: I'm not the person that asked the question, I'm just not good at editing wikis, but I still wanted to contribute. I just took my Dogmeat on a mission that requires 0.32 pistols dealing 1-2 damage (I didn't have the better versions). Immediately I noticed, that dweller A deals significantly greater damage (about 3-4 times greater) than others despite having the same weapon. So I gave Dogmeat to dewller B and then B dealt greater damage and A's damage dropped to C's level. My hypothesis is that pet's damage and dweller's damage are added and dealt with dweller's attack. (I doubt that pet gives percentage based bonus to dweller's damage, because I didn't notice the difference before this mission).

Blue pets = randomly generated names[]

Blue pets have randomly generated names. Other than that they are not unique or Legendary, and they do not even have a codex entry in the game, shouldn't list them on this page because there is an infinite number of them with their randomly generated names. Just a heads up. Eddo36 (talk) 07:53, February 22, 2017 (UTC)

Separate cells[]

There are multiple names in some of the Legendary forms, is there a way to separate them into their own cells? Eddo36 (talk) 02:30, February 23, 2017 (UTC)

Nevermind, did it. Eddo36 (talk) 06:29, February 23, 2017 (UTC)

Things to note[]

These need to be added if they can be confirmed:

  • What happens to pets in the vault if their owner is killed and not resurrected: I assume they go into storage like weapons/armor, but I have not yet lost a dweller with a pet.
  • Pets bring back all loot from killed explorers including equipped items: this used to be true and exploitable, but may have been patched.
  • Pets inflict damage: I have never seen an enemy's health bar tick when a pet attacks, but I have seen them die on a pet's attack. Either the owner made the kill, but never played an attack animation or perhaps pet damage is calculated immediately before their owner, so damage from pets is normally hidden by damage from their owners except on a kill.

Pet Perk List[]

Is there a list of the perks each animal gets? Are these bound stats or can any pet get any perk?

Metal Gear Kitty[]

Is nobody going to acknowledge the Metal Gear reference in the Ocicat description? Seriously? Revolver not included? SacredSpirit1337 (talk) 20:19, August 7, 2018 (UTC)
