Most of the data here (as of 10/23/2018, 2:10am ET) is copy/pasted from Fallout 4 and is incorrect. Please do not copy/paste Fallout 4 data here. There are many changes to items between Fallout 4 and Fallout 76. (Whoever started this page assumed everything was the same, it is not.)

For Example: Baseball (4->6 value, 1->2 cork), Gold Pocket Watch (40->25 value, 2->1 gold, 1->2 spring), Pre-War Money (8->0 value, 0->0.2 weight), etc.

The base material data are not the same either. There are no shipments. (now bulk [material], 10/15/20/30 units depending on material)

I made no assumptions as I knew there was going to be differences. I left them because I believed it would be easier to correct what was different then to input them all over again. The {Upcoming} box at the top should make it clear that all the data is uncertain. I mainly needed to copy the data because gunpowder was a new crafting component. Gunpowder is a misc item, not scrap or junk item - it is in the misc inventory tab and does not drop when you die. Black Titanium however is a new crafting material. Also all common/uncommon scrap had its value reduced to 0 in BETA.
Good to know, I'll replace gunpowder with black titanium and set the values for the common/uncommon crafting components to 0. Feel free to update the table as needed. I did assume incorrectly that gunpowder was a crafting material since it was a required component in ammunition crafting. Good to know as well that it isn't droppable. I added a small section to "Bulk". Robot vendors buy bulk but not raw materials. It also appears any ore (what you can "mine") are in "misc" items. Also, there are a few items that do not automatically disassemble when you do it in bulk. "Beer Bottles" and "Baseballs" are two such items. However, if either are in inventory when you're creating/fixing something, they will be used for that purpose. If you're using C.A.M.P. and your own equipment what you carry and what's in your Stash box will be used. If you're using equipment found in the "world" only those carried will be used. (Note: I haven't tested what happens when you do this at a location that has a player stash box but is not "owned" by the player. Looks like this has changed; I was able to sell scrap copper and crystal shards in [Flatwoods, I think?] last night.
Also, the bulk items that used to drop weight don't seem to anymore. Gonna wait for the 12/4 update before making any changes. Jpstroud (talk) 15:26, December 3, 2018 (UTC)

Junk item list[]

It may serve as temporarily expedient to say only junk items unique to 76 are listed here, but referring to the Fallout 4 list is a disservice to the reader, as the component breakdowns in 76 are frequently quite different from 4, e.g. the weathered version of the clock does not have nuclear material anymore. Not sure if it was changed during/after BETA or recent patch, but the info w/in the page's 'Bulk' heading is factually incorrect; Bulk Crafting at a tinker bench *does* decrease overall weight, though how by much seems to depend on the item - Bulk Steel seems to be abt half the total weight of the Steel Scrap contained, whereas Bulk Adhesive (IIRC, i'm not in game ATM) only reduces total weight by 1/6th. It does not appear that the weight of the (2) Plastic Scrap is included in the Bulk total, but that may be due to rounding for 2-decimal-place display.

As not all crafting components derived from junk _are_ "Bulk-able", I'd recommend (and be happy to work on) a separate table listing Bulk Crafting Recipes, individual weights of the components, final weight of the Bulk Item, and a little math to produce the weight reduction achieved.

I've only ever done minor grammatical corrections or "broken link" fixes on a public wiki, and have never edited on Fandom, at all, so I'm unaware if there's any particular "protocol" or social norm, so to speak, WRT totally revamping someone else's section; how much discussion is usually involved prior to pulling the trigger, or is it acceptable to just run with it? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jpstroud (talkcontribs). If you have an ideal of something that will add value (which is the case here) just run with it. If in doubt when you have something, feel free to drop one of us admins a line and we'll come take a look/give a hand. Sakaratte - Talk to the catmin 09:44, November 23, 2018 (UTC)
