Austria note[]

  • Austria presece confirmed probably by presence of Glock.
  • On 15 May 1955 Austria regained full independence by concluding the Austrian State Treaty with the Four Occupying Powers. On 26 October 1955 Austria was declared "permanently neutral" by act of Parliament.
  • Austria became a member of the European Union in 1995 and retained its constitutional neutrality, like some other EU members, such as Sweden.

Fallout 3[]

This page needs some serious updates with the release of Fallout 3 that features Zimmer the Commonwealth agent.

The Commonwealth that Zimmer is from is not the European Commonwealth. Ausir 15:21, 27 December 2008 (UTC)

Post Great War?[]

Is there any info on what happened to them after the war? CAW4 22:33, 18 May 2009 (UTC)CAW4

After the Great War, the former nations of the European Commenwealth were nearly all reduced to ruin and the remaining powers of the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Poland and Spain began un-controlled skirmish wars with each other over the remaining few resources that each one possesed until after two years of conflict each of the nations resources ran dry and each country was reduced to a dying population of raiders, slavers and former military personel who have now all forgotten that they were all once united under a single banner.

Not sure where that came from. Theres a number of people in Fallout 3 who come from Europe(can't remember, Tenpenny for sure, Moriarty sounds like it but I think I recall him being a lifelong Capital Wastelander... perhaps even a Megatonian). I imagine Europe circa 2277 to be in a pretty similar state to the US West Coast (which should be getting along relatively well by then) --Ishotamaninnewreno 10:02, October 2, 2009 (UTC)

Not all countries[]

Britain wasnt badly affected if you assume that we still had a hell of a lo of coal, i know today we dont use much coal anymore, seeing as they are all the coal mines have shut down but if you ask me Germany also didn't collapse because it devolped the Gauss weapons and proberly sold them to other countries ( while keeping their fair share to)

I see what your getting at but coal cant be used for everything. Sure we would have sold some to other countries to keep our economy up but Britain would still feel the sting of the collaspe

what happens to africa[]

in the fall out world it said that the majority of the human population went down the loot so dose thjat mean africa was affected to. if its was not it should be though they only have Europe and usa and china but what about the 3rd world countys dis they suffer as well ^.^

Africa was also extinguished. 15px-Scribe.jpg Tagaziel (call!) 07:54, 30 July 2009 (UTC)

what about japan they could not have a army so do you think they were "extighwished" what about india and how big are vtheses nukes too wipe out like 90% of humans wouldnt it take huge supper bomb?Deirdre Skye Marr 18:23, 3 August 2009 (UTC)

Sorry to be replying six years after this was put forth. No, it can be assumed that most of the world's major cities were hit. Besides, with China annexing a lot of Asia we can imagine that Japan was on the 'enemies' list. They've had a lot of historical tension as well. India and Pakistan probably used the war as an opportunity to finally nuke each other. Even if these third world countries survived, the fallout killed the majority of the survivors. Stragglers picked each other off Mad Max style. With no supplies shipped in from big countries, it's likely that these regions have been almost completely abandoned.

The picture.[]

Isn't that picture of the destroyed Reichstag from WWII? Why does it say it's from the Resource Wars?

It accompanies the slideshow when the EC is mentioned, so it's a fair guess that it's inteded to show how the Reichstag fared during the uropean phase of the Resource Wars. 11px-Naglowaa_se.gif Tagaziel (call!) 11:08, September 29, 2009 (UTC)

NO, it don't appears when the EC es mentioned. Video:[1] Appears when talking about the romans, the spanish and Hitler.

Hmm, that makes it's canonicity dubious, but still, it's the only explanation as for why it's there. Personal_Sig_Image.gif Tagaziel (call!) 21:55, February 25, 2010 (UTC)

Heckler & Koch ownership[]

"Heckler & Koch are effectively co-owned by British counterpartners" - I don't understand what this actually means. I'm hesitant to change it in case it has some meaning in the Fallout universe, but IRL H&K's small-arms division were owned by Royal Ordnance: no effective, co-owned or counterpartner(?) as far as I know. --Vometia 17:13, September 29, 2009 (UTC)

Redesign[]

This page needs a redesign, there's too much inconsistency and confusion. It says the only confirmed member is the United Kingdom, and yet covers all the other European countries, and parts of the article's information isn't covered very well.

Maybe we should just make a separate "Europe" article covering the continent and it's countries in full detail, and instead just make this page cover information about the Commonwealth state? User OfficialLolGuy  OfficialLolGuy  Talk  Blog  17:04, December 29, 2013 (UTC)
