Terminal entry[]

This holotape and holotapes like it are indeed terminal entries. They even function as a terminal does when attached to another device like a separate terminal or a PIP-Boy.--Ant2242 (talk) 17:20, May 25, 2020 (UTC)

They do not originally come from a terminal, it's a holotape. So they're not terminal entries. AllYourFavorites! (talk) 17:23, May 25, 2020 (UTC)
The confusion seems to be hardware vs software. I see the content as text files and computer programs, with any computer able to read it, whether it is an actual terminal or a PIP-Boy. For example the holotape is the thumbdrive and the content is the entries/programs. In regards to adding the category back I'm not going to do so.--Ant2242 (talk) 01:15, May 26, 2020 (UTC)

Holotapes in the passed have read much like terminal entries. I'd argue however that the Terminal Entry category is for just that, Terminal Entries. These holotapes are found independent of any terminals, no terminal is required for their use, they aren't terminal entries regardless of the nature in which they are read. Computers like the PIP-Boy are required to read them.--Ant2242 (talk) 04:49, May 26, 2020 (UTC)
You can't read any holotapes without a pipboy. That doesn't make them a terminal entry. To call them that is incorrect. Terminal entries are, as their name suggests, found on terminals. Holotapes are found on Holotapes, it's why those are separate categories. Richie9999 (talk) 21:34, May 27, 2020 (UTC)
Again, software vs hardware. What's on the storage medium vs what is the storage medium.--Ant2242 (talk) 21:55, May 27, 2020 (UTC)
