This is a nice piece of armor. Too bad there's no way to repair it yourself. I get the feeling a long-time Fallout player was behind the making of this armor considering what it boosts.--24.181.55.90 13:10, 7 November 2008 (UTC)

Seeing that the gal who was originally going to use the suit never wore it, it can be said that this armor is the trademark of the Wanderer. Oh, and if there's ever going to be a Fallout 3 movie, I'd really like to see the guy/gal wear this at all times.--Amitakartok 18:42, 4 May 2009 (UTC)

They should make an update that makes Moira make Armoured Vault Suits for every Vault Jumpsuit you turn into her.--Jacm 14:12, October 21, 2009 (UTC)

Just wanted to point out that in the end cutscenes for FO3, the LW is most definitely not wearing the Armored Vault Suit. I had to sit through that thing repeatedly for a mod and it's the plain ol' Vault 101 jumpsuit.

There are scenes where the LW is wearing the armored version and others where he or she isn't. The LW is also sometimes portrayed as male, other times as female, in the ending cinematic, but never verbally identified as either gender. --Kris User Hola 12:07, October 6, 2010 (UTC)

armored vault suit disappearance in FO3[]

i was playing fallou 3 on my 360 and i got the armored suit and put it in my locker at my megaton house and when i came back from an "expidition" if you will, of the wastes i came back to check my inventory in that locker and everything had disappeared spontaneously. i reloaded a previous save from before i left but everything was still missing. if anyone could possibly help diagnose the problem it would be appreciated.Vault soda 01:52, May 23, 2010 (UTC)

Yeah I heard that can happen; you'll just have to start a new game if your previous save doesn't work.

Dropping bug[]

I bought this from Moira, then when I got home I dropped it to display it in my house. When I closed my pip-boy, it appeared as it does in Craterside Supply (wooden frame, ropes holding it up). I picked it up and dropped it again, and it appeared as normal. Has this happened to anyone else, and if so, maybe we should put it under the bugs section.

Fail.[]

I removed the part saying that the person Moira made the suit for might have been the Lone Wanderer's mother. It most certainly could not, his mother has been dead for 19 years. The suit was made 10 or 12 years ago. People need to learn to look up their Fallout storyline if they are goin to post on this site

Who was the original owner?[]

When you talk to her about the book she is writing there is a speech option which gets her to talk about her failed experiments and she mentioned her last assistant being attacked by a Centaur and it is implied that assistant may have died. So maybe that was the previous owner of the armor? Its a possibility anyway.

It might also be possible that it belonged to Moira herself, since she has the armor and is a girl like who she said the original owner was. Is it possible that Moira came out of vault 101? If that's the case she is referring to herself in the third person, but considering how nutty she is it doesn't automatically dismiss the possibility. --99.102.229.92 19:15, April 12, 2011 (UTC)

This can't be Moira's as her page SAYS that she is from Canterbury Commons GamerAddict7796 19:45, May 17, 2011 (UTC)
Way, way too late to reply, but since I'm here and the question is unanswered- in the Overseer's terminal you can find log files detailing how he secretly sent exploring teams to Megaton, for trading and research of the outside world. The owner is one of those people.--201.10.42.222 01:23, June 30, 2013 (UTC)
That would make the suit older than Moira... Great Mara (talk) 01:29, June 30, 2013 (UTC)

Female version[]

I can't find normal photos of the female version of the costume. If someone adds this, don't forget the version that Moira has in the supply store (and his can be seen through the GECK editor). ExplorerSmaily (talk) 21:32, 12 February 2023 (UTC)
